It's almost irrelevant who checks Fant, we are going to post double the ball out of his hands just as we did with Mike Thorne Jr. We want Ross helping weak side with his rim protection abilities. My guess is Arledge then Taylor will get Fant with post doubles all day long.

We played ok against Louisville but we played much better against Ole Miss...... We should have beaten louisville. We play 10 deep most games but have 7-9 players that just get it. You won't wear WKU out, that's a staple of a Ray Harper coached team to always be better conditioned than the opponent which is how be won 4 in 4 days back to back years in the Sun Belt tourney. This game should be very exciting for both fan bases and why WKU fans was so happy to get back with basketball school in CUSA.

RE: Western Kentucky
This will be a tough game, toughest of the season. I think I did the research and feel better about our chances after studying WKU. I've posted my game preview.

Here are some quick keys...

1) Chase Price and Harrison-Docks off of the perimeter
2) Play Price straight up, don't allow Harrison-Docks or Trency Jackson to become second and third scorers
3) Post double the ball out of the hands of George Fant
4) Rebound their misses, keep Fant off of the offensive glass

They play a fast tempo, if we show up and play our game we win. If we don't, we risk getting the doors blown off.

RE: Western Kentucky
Fant is going to be a tough cover, but if we can shut down mo Allie cox at vcu, we should be able to handle Fant.

Fant has a better offensive game than Cox, Cox was a much better defender and rebounder.

Our boys have been able to bang with just about every team they've faced this year (including lsu who can put a hurting on teams physically) so we shouldn't worry about being pushed around in the paint.

We just need some shots to go to open things up and let trey and Aaron go to work driving to the rim.

Stay active and stay hungry and we can get out of this 3 game road trip 3-0!

This game feels like an opening round game in the dance...the anticipation is killing me. As most have indicated this is our "defining moment" as a solid top 25 program. Get a "W" on the road and I think we can cash our check at the bank.

I think Jones will have the boys ready for this game. There is a lot of excitement surrounding this game to be sure. It is a very important game in writing this new chapter in ODU basketball history! #GoMonarchs!

Not sure we agree about the should have beat Louisville part. WKU is good, not sure the details of Harrells ejection in the Louisville game but he tore up WKU 1st half and was not available 2nd half. He was on the way to a 40 point night when ejected. Good match up today, definitely one of our toughest road games left in the season. Go Blue

WKU out scored louisville while Harrel was in the game, when he went out was when the louisville guard stepped it up. Late in the game we had a chance to tie the game when our guard hit a wet spot on the floor and turned the ball over , WKU never recoverd. I could see this game going many directions depending on who wins the tempo battle

NERVOUS about tonight.

Think about the impact this will have on the recruiting trail if we can keep this up.

So, apparently the game isn't going to be shown live in the DC area. The only showing we get is a replay at 10:30 pm.

I don't know if thats good or bad. Is there a distraction, does he say Trey isn't a D1 player, talks about how weak the defense is, or talks about the players he recruited. On the plus side he knows the Monarchs. He and JJ are on ok terms. It will be funny to see how many one liners Blaine comes up with. Remember all the very good teams BT had and none were ever ranked.

I'm very glad it's a TV game.
