I believe Western is having scanner problems...
no way was Diddle 1/3 empty tonight . I thought the last 3 games attendance was under counted.
Wow quite a few cry babies...
there were touch fouls called on both teams if not TJ never fouls out

Not until the second half really, but that's neither here nor there. Good game.

I think it looked "fuller" because about half of the general admission bleacher seats above the the student section weren't available. They weren't folded out.
Great atmosphere for sure. So thankful to be in CUSA.

What are you talking about? there are no fold out seats in Diddle other than the lower red towel seats.

Top side behind students was not folded out. It's about 500 seats. Still was over 6k tonight!

Really solid considering playoff football was on today.

First time I knew they folded in or out. I knew the old Diddle had roll out bleachers at the top but never paid any attention since we put the new seating in in 2001 but I sit in 106 7 rows from the floor so I guess I can't see it

Was hoping for ODU to hold on to their rank but WKU made ODU looked ordinary today.
WKU fans: your arena looks great on TV - fans were loud. this is great TV showing.

Thanks. WKU fans have a high basketball IQ and make diddle arena a hard place to play. We take for granted sometimes what we have

Odu fans are crying about the officiating. Isn't that how it usually works, the losing team complaining about the refs. I haven't seen the game yet, I've got in on record. I'll give you my analysis tomorrow, and I'll tell it like it is, okay?

What the eff are you talking about? One guy posted something about the officiating. Almost all of us have been very complimentary of WKU and very gracious in defeat.

Yeah, but go look at your board. Probably 1/3 of the posts in a currently 41 page thread are about the officiating. Very few giving credit to WKU. I've seen RPI killer, one-man team, etc. Seems like your fans have gotten a little too full of themselves with your ranking. WKU is FAR from either an RPI killer or a one man team. We now have four Top 80 wins on the year and zero losses outside the Top 150. We also have two players on our roster who will end the season in the Top 10 All-Time Scoring List of our historic program. The officials had nothing to do with your loss tonight. A good WKU team beat a good ODU on our home floor.

I agree with all of the bolded part. I even said earlier in this thread that should it come down to us needing an at large bid that noone will look sideways at a fairly close loss at Diddle. As for comments by some of our fans on our board, IMO that kind of stuff is run of the mill and not much to get worked up about, especially for a UTEP fan (not referring to you.) Again, congratulations!

Okay couple of points post 43 is true first half officiating was ridiculous our entire front court drew fouls in matter of minutes and they didn't call a couple on WKU. Although they were a minor part they killed the momentum couple of times and coupled with a very good zone play by WKU added to our sloppiness today doomed us. And i definitely made a point in 45 that WKU played like they want to win. And almost all the times the losing fan base complains that's how things work and we all know that ollie no need to remind us about that go see minerrush and scroll through the comments after the game with latech you will see what i am talking about. And like some said our fan base is spoiled with these 13-1 run who wouldn't be after a 5-25 season. Some of you talk as if you are intangible to normal human feelings. WKU let me say this you played a darned good game and hope to beat your ass in norfolk.

RE: Old Dominion @ Western Kentucky - 1/10
All I have to say is Western isn't even close to peaking because when Rostov finds his confidence and start hitting layups and stepping out and popping a 3 every now and then this Western team becomes a team that is going to be hard to beat. The kid is snake bit right now but if 2 or 3 falls that bucket will be as large as a peach basket....
confidence is a huge part of this game and the kid is missing wide open layups that rolls around the rim and comes out.
We are leaving on Monday heading down to Daytona then south on Thursday to catch the FAU and FIU games and while Western played fairly good over the last few games we are yet to see if that carries over on the road. I just wish we had came out of the gate playing half this well because Western would have 2 or 3 more wins. At one point tonight I had visions of Belmont flash before me...
when Western went up 12 with 3 minutes to play and ODU cut it to 5 with in a few seconds I honestly though we would choke. We let Belmont come back from 12 down with under 3 to play by giving up 3s, letting rebounds slip through our hands and missed fts.
Like I said confidence play a huge role in this game so now it's going to be interesting to see if ODU has a let down. The good thing is you have 2 home games with teams tat has struggled. This conference needs the top 4 to roll over the rest of the conference...

Tech
ODU
