It's the battle of the #1 and #2 preseason picks.

LA Tech is fast, likes to press and can shoot the lights out. UTEP is tall and long and can be strong on defense. UTEP is deep and LA Tech is shallow. Will Tech get winded at 4000' elevation as the second half wanes and the starters don't get much rest?

I think UTEP will probably grind the shot clock and make Tech work on defense for 25-30 seconds.

My prediction is UTEP 78, Tech 69, but I wouldn't be surprised to see the score a lot lower than that.

ODU has emerged as a C-USA front runner, as well. I got my tickets today for their Feb. 14th visit to the Don Haskins Center. There aren't a lot of tickets left for a game more than a month away. .

Coach Floyd expects less press from Tech since we got easy buckets off it last year. He expects Tech to play more zone defense.

We are blacked out in the El Paso region but I heard there might be a stream from that Argentina site. I live in the mountains of Southern New Mexico so I rely on internet for everything. I don't even get over the air TV.

Can someone explain to me how the video crew can spend the OOC season actually shooting the game the way it's supposed to look, but as soon as it's conference season, they start screwing around with the damned baseline angle again?

We usually fall way behind at the beginning of the game. Down by 1 at the first Time Out might be a good sign?
