Golden Flashes @ Huskies predictions
On paper looks like an even matchup, Massey would suggest Huskies by 2 with a 54% chance of an NIU victory. Of course again this is probably considering a healthy Bowie, which I doubt we will see. This one is really really hard to call but I will go with a Huskie W given I think there will be a sense of urgency with 2 probable road losses looming after this game and a home win streak to defend. Its a very important game

Kent State 58
NIU 59

And we have a new leader! Congrats to dekalb222 for separating himself from the pack yesterday

Huskies win 72-59. Aaric Armstead has decided he wants to play hard! Threloff has break-out double/double game. Huskies draw 1600 fans Saturday night.

These guys have done a great job defending our home court, I would love to see 2000 in the seats.

Big game on espnu, Akron at Toledo. I am rooting for Toledo so both teams would be 1-1.

RE: Golden Flashes @ Huskies predictions
Here are some pseudo MAC power rankings thus far. You would think NIU sitting at a 155 RPI would normally be good for what, 3rd or 4th in the conference. Not this year, even that high of an RPI only earns NIU an 8 position in the power rankings! Yikes! Interesting to note, despite all the talk about the power of the MAC West (and yes its good), the East still claims 4 of the top 6 spots.

Rank Team (RPI Rank)

1. Buffalo (39)
2. Bowling Green (75)
3. Central Michigan (91)
4. Toledo (137)
5. Kent State (141)
6. Akron (146)
7. Eastern Michigan (147)
8. Northern Illinois (155)
9. Western Michigan (182)
10. Ball State (197)
11. Ohio (243)
12. Miami-OH (302)

Rockettes going to get the win in this one...normally never root for UT but good to see Akron go down...

Good day so far, WMU defeats Buffalo 78-68. The MAC isn't about East and West it's about seeding.

Bad for a potential at-large bid though for the MAC. With Akron losing and Buffalo going down, I dont think EMU or CMU have a chance.

1 bid this year

It was always going to be a one bid league this year

Akron or Buffalo has not beat anyone of note. Don't let maddawg's hype of the MAC fool you. It is a one bid league. So, Huskies must be a top four seed in the MAC to be competitive in the MAC tourney.

Yeah, the pumping of the MAC's nads really needs to stop. (I guess it's only person doing it, to be fair.)
