So now that he's gone, are Houston fans finally allowed to agree that he was a tool?

You're thinking of Reilly, not John.

Ward is pretty smart...he rarely took big hits. Just seems a little slippery that way and gets down when he should.

Weird. Our AD usually photoshops those pictures before putting them out. I guess someone got lazy.

No Houston fan I know would say anything that crazy and if they did they obviously haven't paid much attention to college football the past 20yrs.

I simply recall a few Houston fans showing a picture of him next to Ware's and saying something along the lines of "That'll be his in a few years". I'm sure it's in the archive somewhere.

I feel for O'Korn, than again, he was given every imaginable opportunity at the QB position.

IDK, perhaps going elsewhere may just be the best for him.

Thanks for giving us your best first year, O'Korn

He was given the opportunity.. With no support.. He did not have a QB coach. He struggled after Meachum went to TCU, he was being coached up by Meachum on the sidelines every game the first year. Ward came in.. He didnt have a coach either, he won games purely on his athletic abilities. He could move..was elusive. I am a fan of Okorn.. I can guarantee that you will see this kid succeed somewhere else with better coaching.

I can't believe he'd move-on without at least giving Spring Football a go under Tom Herman. He'd have a much better opportunity to be successful right away (everyone being on the same foot), as opposed to going somewhere else, where he'd have to battle the returnees. He needs the development, and it's hard to see him going anywhere else and contributing to a new system right away.

He will have to sit out anyway so why the rush to another school this spring?

Because you have to sit for a full year. He would miss spring ball at his next school if he went through spring drills.

Incorrect.

He would be able to play in spring ball. He just wouldn't be able to play in games this fall.

Per the NCAA you just need to spend 2 semesters taking what is considered full-time at the school to participate in "competition" not "practice".

Full-time Fall 2015, Full-time Spring 2016, Eligible Fall 2016.

I think you hit the nail on the Head. This kid is very good, just had really crap coaches. Ward is a very good instinctive runner. He doesn't rely as much on the plays called and on passes, so he has an easier time succeeding without a lot of coaching on the O. I really felt bad for O'Korn cause of the crappy situation he was in. Hicks isn't coming and if O'Korn leaves we won't really have any heavy passers on the roster. Hope Herman has an ace up his sleeve.

Looks like a 2 school battle: Wisky and Cuse.

Cuse is also recruiting a PSU QB (O'Conner)
