LaTech fans - Tyler Summitt impression?
I'm not a UT fan at all, however I've always respected what Pat Summitt has meant to the game. I was just wondering what the LaTech fan base thinks of Tyler Summitt so far both on and off the court?

I live in Nashville and listen to sports talk at work and I've heard him a couple times on the radio in the past and was just wondering how LaTech fans thinks he is doing so far early in his coaching career at the age of 24.

Directionally, he seems to be doing a good job. I like the coaches he has brought in to help him, and I believe success will come. The Lady Techsters program didn't crash overnight, and bringing it back will take a while too.

I agree. My expectations for the Lady Techsters this year were low in terms of wins and losses. It took years for the team to go down to where it ended last year, so I figured it would take time to rebuild and turn the program back into a winning one.

If the team finishes with a .500 or better record this season, I would be more than satisfied. More importantly, I want to see a team improve both on and off the court as the year goes on. So far, I'm satisfied with the job Summitt is doing.

Honestly, I wasn't sold, but after tonight's win against UTEP, I saw a team that was extremely disciplined and much better coached. Not sure if it's him or the supporting coaches, but with a few of the girls there have been miracles in their development. There is a difference in buying in to a program, and believing in the program, and these girls are starting to BELIEVE. We shall see what the rest of the season holds, but I've seen some amazing differences from last year to this year with pretty much the same team.

Off the court, old school and pure class.

This is a job that will take time to repair. I think he is up for it so ask us in three years.
