I thought it was odd that they have ODU as the only team among their weekly rankings as a 26th place team. Nice that they do....just odd.

The CBS poll is Top 25+1.

I'm seeing it on the 25+1 poll that ODU is 25th (N. Iowa at 26).

That's weird, yestersay when I clicked the link it was reversed from what it is now.

They update the rankings daily

I've been a season ticket holder for 6 years and attended games regularly for 10 years prior. My husband, daughter (through PhD), son-in-law, son and brother-in-law are all ODU graduates. I have been following all the posts for sometime but this is my first time posting. So I guess I am jumping on the bandwagon. Thanks for the welcome.

ODU got a nice mention from Andy Katz on his "Three Point Shot" either today or yesterday

ODU appears to have played equal or better schedule than VCU and beat them head to head and VCU is ranked 15th with three losses and ODU falls from being ranked with only two..... Makes since

VCU still has a lot of brand recognition from it's FF run in 2010, and plays in the much more visible A-10. I think this is what most ODU fans expected after our loss to WKU. I also think most Monarch fans know that losing to the Hilltoppers at Diddle was nothing that will be fatal to our post season aspirations.

It's our jobs to rebuild CUSA and replace the likes of Memphis / cincy and louisville as basketball powers and so far we are all off to a good start.......same can be said for football

These voters like the shiny new thing...WYOMING!! I knew we would drop from 25th but for WYOMING!! I think their RPI is like 76 with an SOS of 280-ish. I just whining.

You have ever reason! It's purely political when a team you beat which has a worse record is ranked 15th.

Thanks Cr8n! I have been a huge Monarch fan for many years. I definitely have realized not to take comments personally from reading posts. I am new here so I just wanted to set him straight!

I'm with you. I am a huge fan and watch or attend (harder since I'm in Richmond now but will make at least 5 this year) as many games as I can and I've been reading these boards for years (back to CAAZone days), but I'm not a huge poster (as you can tell by my 100 total posts over the past two years). I go in spurts where I get into posting (I'm in one now) but I'm usually more of a lurker. It's a great spot to get information about the Monarchs whether or not you choose to post a lot so welcome aboard!

Thanks ODU06...I am also mostly a lurker. You are right about finding a lot of good info here. I wish I had found it sooner! I was in Richmond for our back to back CAA Championships!
