More and more basketball is about talented, athletic freshman and sophomores with AAU skills not basketball skills. You can only dunk so many times in a game and you only make so many 3's in a game, that's all kids do now dunk or jack 3's.

It has lost its beauty/finese (sp). The Big East and Ar..now many others (L'ville) have brought a roughness, jam it in, knock down BB. Hack hack. Too much like the NBA.

The thing that is happening to college basketball is teams are gearing up to stop players who have great natural talents but have not developed great skills. While very gifted, very few 4* players are complete players...Most have severe holes in their games.

I wish recruiting services would rate players based on their current skill set as opposed to their NBA potential. This is the issue that Memphis is having, getting highly rated players who have POTENTIAL but that potential is never realized due to coaching, work ethic or many other reasons.

RE: Kansas 56 Baylor 55
If anyone spent a minute watching the KU game, you could have Kansas dissect the Baylor zone in the second half with almost no dribbling and an assortment of crip passes. The ball hardly touched the floor for KU in a five minute segment.

The you could have seen Baylor call a timeout and readjust the zone to prevent what KU was doing.

Crazy that in game coaching is so frowned upon.

I watched the game and enjoyed it. I was speaking of BB in general.

Fair enough.

The problem starts early. Kids are being taught by their dads coaching little league instead of learning proper fundamentals. And it gets worse as the kids get older. There's a lot of bad coaching out there now.
