Is Bill Walton on drugs, he sure sounds like it. ESPN 2, he is all over over the place.

Never heard go off the edge where his partner had to reel him back in. In the middle of the game was talking about Hawaii and this and that, just went off. Heard him to a ton of NBA games.

He's always like this on Pac-12 games. It's been quite awhile since he did NBA games.

There you go, we don't watch many PAC 12 games on Eastern time. He is a "trip".

I doubt it since he followed the Grateful Dead around .

It's un-ba-LEAV-able how intense his commentary can be sometimes.

The game was out of hand. Walton loses interest in the actual game when it's not competitive.

Looks like Walton will be paired with Jay Bilas for Thursday's Colorado/Arizona game on ESPN. It will be interesting to see how Bilas handles him.

Quote:Jay Bilas’ workload is going a different direction this week.

That’s because ESPN is throwing him in with Bill Walton and Dave Pasch on the broadcast of Thursday’s Arizona-Colorado game.

“For me, it’s been an extraordinary week of preparation,” Bilas said. “I’ve been listening to a lot of Grateful Dead, burning incense and tie-dying my clothing in my backyard. So I think I’ll look good, smell good and I’ll be totally prepared if there’s any sort of reference to the Dead.”

Bill Walton is amazing on commentary, I go out of my way to seek out Pac-12 games on the ESPN networks in the hopes he and Dave Pasch are on the call, Pasch as the deadpan straight man is tremendous, best commentary team since Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby Heenan for my money.

Bill Walton, alone, is printed money but pair him with dry humor Dave Pasch and you have Fort Knox gold.
