You can do national or state. I did not see any Sun Belt in the top 100.

National

Georgia

https://colleges.niche.com/rankings/best...s/georgia/

Methodology / Appears to heavily based on academics and student opinion.

If you click on the Grade next to your school name it will give you your national ranking. (GS was 201 out of 892) - for what it's worth...

App was ranked 166 with an A-. We got low scores in parking, diversity and drug safety. I understand parking and diversity, but drug safety? Come on! They should change that with drug availability as a positive!

RE: College Rankings
Not a argument but the only issue I have with ratings are some seem overly depend on student surveys. When you look at the 12 million ratings from 300,000 students it seems it should be pretty comprehensive. A little further research shows that as little as 24 respondents are required to qualify a university. Much of the info is from government or university data, but a great many of the percentages listed for each of the categories directly involve student surveys. Maybe it's just me, but for a university with 18,000 students to be rated based on as little as 24 respondents seems somewhat suspect. Some of the info within each category used also doesn't seem to have anything to do with the category. JMO

East Dormitory was ranked as High Times #1 dorm for drug use when I was in school there. I'd be surprised if its not still in the top 10.

So Georgia Southern and Georgia State scored the same on health and safety... never would have thought that.

so either ga state has more std's and gs has more crime than originally thought, or vice versa.

They also give our athletics a B-. I thought that was generous.

The drugs in Boone are unsafe? Is there a substandard supplier these days?

This should be 97.8% of the ranking.

even since the NCAA stepped in and wanted a portion of the proceeds of drug sales, the quality has really gone downhill.

that national list looks heavily weighted to the tiny eastern niche schools that few of us have ever heard of. the pollsters probably dont get out much

more like northeastern, I looked it up and the website was created by Carnegie Melon in Pittsburgh who happened to be ranked 68th. Not sure how they got rated so high with ugly women and poor athletics.

Looked like a pretty good mix. A lot of those eastern schools are very good long established schools. They are just not known athletically so people don't know much about them.

Those tiny northeastern schools, while not that well known due to being D3 athletics wise, are consistently near the top of all rankings. Borderline impossible to get into.

Seriously? Probably because Carnegie Mellon is an excellent school. And a student created the company Niche (formerly College Prowler), not the school.

Carnegie Mellon sort of shares its campus with Pitt, another excellent school, and they intermingle all the time so there are plenty 'opportunities' outside of CMU.
