wouldn't it be cool if mick and co scheduled a few ooc games against smaller low rpi schools and the uni had buses for students and discount tix to go to places like chattanooga, or boone north carolina? the cultural express. good show of faith to all the schools that, while a good pay day otherwise, would love to see us in town. i'd be so loveable as an athletic director. you couldn't fire me. students and alum are granted amnesty

I spent Thanksgiving weekend in Boone , NC. Awesome place. Gorgeous land. I should have gone to Appie State. The boys hit the slopes and mom and I hit the brewpub. Fun had by all.

Whenever I read Lush's posts I think back to this classic 80s commercial

Are we gonna get 7,605 in the house tonight?

Miserable Opponent, students aren't back yet, the game is on TV and there's a little snow on the ground and freezing conditions.... bad combination.

Relative to the recovery period, I think this is a nice rebound. Another way to look at the current data: Since we know the Xavier game is sold out, the OOC average in 14/15 is 7,956 which is up 28% compared to last year.
Also, the SMU game drew 10,013 this year which is up 38%
compared to prior year.04-cheers

Unfortunately, no more Villanova's , Georgetown's , Louisville's and Syracuse' s on our schedule. Now it's ECU,, Tulane, Tulsa and UCF. Grateful that we have UConn, Temple, Memphis and SMU. Everything else is meh.

Yes but when the team is winning people will still come out to see them play.

True, we played some real crap back in cUSA and drew big crowds. But that was before we got the taste of playing real teams in the Big East. Now, ECU is a big yawn.

And the shine of 5/3 wore off a long time ago. In a pro city you need more pro venue like facilities.
When that place gets renovated percent to capacity will increase with non sexy games. BTW the season
finale vs. Memphis at home is a "CBS" game. Only one of the year.

I enjoyed watching UC blow out CUSA teams back in the day. The best was Logan scoring more than the entire S. Miss team.

It was awesome and I enjoyed that game, but I also remember the first year of the Big East and the feeling of having a name opponent almost every basketball night. It is hard going back.

You know what's more awesome than having a name opponent every night? Conference championships.
