5 out of 7 teams lost. 3 of the losses were blowouts. Discuss.

I still think the SEC was the best conference, and the SEC West the best division, just not by as big of a margin as before the bowls. There is a tendency to over interpret bowl results we have to keep in mind. So, I will knock them down a notch or two in my mind, but still think that league and that division is the toughest in college football.

The thread comes up because the Big 12 went 2-5, while the SEC West went 2-5. The Big 12 won 1 of its two BCS games both of the last 2 years and blew a big lead in one of the losses this year. The SEC went 0-5 in BCS games the last two years, 3 blowouts, one domination and one close game.

Where is ESPN claiming a conference is really, really weak for going 0-5 in BCS games?

Since we all agree that the SEC is weak this year, can people stop bragging about how their team beat a "mighty" SEC team?
