I would think that would take us out the running. We are completely loaded at RB.

What? IDK about that. We are slim at RB. We have a promising RB trying to come back after an injury. Cooper, who has done nothing, continues to underperform. That’s about it. We need RB's. We were so short on talent that we had to put Sam Craft back there.

Cooper carried the 75 times for 378 yds. That is 5 yds per carry. he also had 4 TD's. Hayes only had 5 TD's on 196 carries which is 4.8 yds per carry. Can't understand how you can say he underperformed and has done nothing. Plus he was only a freshman.

Cooper underperforming? Think before you post. Cooper was a true freshman who had a good freshman year.

Dodson was an excellent HS Running back. He could never earn the every down tag at ole miss. I would NOT expect him to be a STAR at Memphis. He will battle for PT here as did at Ole Miss.

His stats are pretty goo for only 36 carries. 249yds, 6.9yds per carrier, 4TD's and his longest was 65 yards. Their best rusher had 106 carries for 586 yards with 5 TD's. I would say the Huggie bears whole running game was the problem. Even bad Bo had only 199 yards on 121 carries.

He had a 70 yard TD run against the University of Memphis in their game this year called back on a bogus holding call.

Like I said, best back since Deangelo Williams. The boy can play. I wouldn't be misled by what happened down at Ole Miss.

That's why I can't understand why the other backs got more PT at Ole Piss. Their starting RB Walton was extremely fast but he was not able to break a tackle. Dodson is strong, fast, shifty and has a unique ability to break for a TD once he gets past the line of scrimmage easily.
He was one of the best RBs to come out of Whitehaven. And that says a lot because Whitehaven has produced some outstanding RBs!
Justine expects the same thing out of our running backs that Hugh expects out of his...I say that because the same exact thing that happened to Mark at Ole Miss is {or will} happen to him at The University of Memphis if he can not understand the importance {in big time college football} that the running back position plays in protecting the quarterback....MARK BETTER GET A HELL OF ALOT BETTER AT BLOCKING or it will be no different here for him than it was at Ole Miss...A few of you were right in saying that Ole Miss did not have what you call elite-level running backs ahead of him..BUT..what those running backs that were ahead of him at Ole Miss could do a hell of a lot better than Mark could {at this stage of his career} was block and protect the QB....Justin is NO different than Hugh in that regard....If you play running back for either of those coaches and they don't trust you enough to do the #1 thing they ask, and that's block - YOU WILL NOT PLAY...and for the record, the commodity we are putting out on the field at the quarterback position - WILL BE PROTECTED - As long as #12 is the QB for The University of Memphis, Mark, or any other running back - WILL NOT PLAY IF JUSTINE DOES NOT TRUST THEM ENOUGH TO HELP PROTECT #12.

Had nothing to do with pass blocking. Just the excuse that Freeze and Nix used because they got their panties in a wad when he didn't want to redshirt.
