Thank you CUSA, Marshall, & ODU
Congrats ODU!!!

I love it. When we were catching hell-o on the SBC board for switching conferences you couldn't get anyone to comprehend that basketball came into play in the decision making process.

First year in CUSA:

1. Marshall makes Top 25 in football. (Never done in SBC)

2. ODU cracks Top 25 in hoops. (Not sure if the South Al at-large team cracked it or not but it's been awhile for SBC)

3. CUSA rolls 4-1 through the bowl season.

You just couldn't explain perception to the haters. Does that mean I believe every game played between our 2 conferences results in a CUSA win? Of course not.

And I wasn't one of our fans that was gonna die if we didn't get the invite. Argued it was a lateral move in football and a 1 bid league in hoops. But the potential was better and the perception was better.

Both have proven true in year 1 for us. This is straight up NOT trolling the SBC. Just reiterating why we left/came.

Yep WKU's first conference game Saturday vs. a ranked conference opponent since UNO in that 93 season...That is hard to believe and really looks bad for SB hoops....I still would argue with SB fans we brought more national media attention with our recent runs in NCAA tournament than anything SB football or basketball has done since or before...Funny seeing SB RPI at 30th in hoops..

And don't forget about men's soccer, where Charlotte finished 9th and ODU finished 20th. And I see that WKU's women's basketball team cracked the top 25 this week as well.

We need USM and UAB to return to their former selves. (In Basketball)

BTW: The game at UAB has me worried. ODU never plays well there.

WKU is playing the best it has all year! We could easly fall back to the way we started but I doubt that. We are much better than the start of the year......I just hate we started slow

No offense taken. We are but a bug on the windshield in ODUs path.

That sounds like something a trap opponent would say.

No, it's something a fan of a really bad basketball team would say. Really bad. Horribly bad. Repulsive.

Don't worry, we understand.

We were right there only two short years ago.

I still contend that Dan D'Antoni could go down to the YMCA, take any team competing in the 5v5 tournaments there, and get at least 3 starters for us and we would be better. Thats how incredibly untalented we are.

This is my first season with season tickets in basketball (just moved back to the Huntington area this past fall) and while we're nothing to witness in person, it's nice to be able to get in 'on the ground floor' with D'antoni and his program.

With that being said, I'm pretty excited to see Old Dominion play on Thursday, as well as to see if we've improved much at all the last month or so. I haven't gone to a game since the South Carolina game.

Side question: for Marshall fans, who do you think is the best basketball team we've played so far other than Louisville? I was really impressed with South Carolina.

Usc and Penn state are bother surprisingly good basketball teams this season.
