Weird Plays
1. Third quarter. UT linebacker Zach Quinn makes a big tackle and is celebrating by banging helmets with teammates. He whacks Treyvon Hester, and Hester goes spinning to the ground temporarily dazed.

2. Fourth quarter. A State linebacker Xavier Woodson is thrown out of the game for threatening a referee. What's with that?

RE: Weird Plays
These head banging end-zone celebrations burn me, guy can't score a TD without some moron practically yanking his head off. Think coaches would learn from Ohio St's NC game against LSU and tell the players to restrain or sit.

It was #10 John Stepic not Quinn.

RE: Weird Plays
Stepec hit the players with his head. And no one knows but i heard it was a direct "F you" but dont quote me. If a ref feels threatened it is their judgement.

Weird Plays
I'm not sure what prompted it. They had just stopped jones Moore on 3rd and goal at the 1. Was strange. Toledo was just getting ready to line up and go for it on 4th and the flag flew.

The head-butt is now a vine making it's way around twitter. See: https://vine.co/v/OdjPEjJe9LO and https://vine.co/v/OdIa2lu9Jq1

This quote is from Olack: "Yeah that's one thing I won't miss, stepec's deadly head butts."

RE: Weird Plays
Looks like our 91 initiated the first headbutting and lost. That second one... uh, that's just creepy.

RE: Weird Plays
AState players were complaining about a hold they wanted called, ref responded, Xavier replied eff you. Flag worthy without question but never considered that to be a threat.

I don't know what the stAte player said, which official he said it too, or if it was objection worthy, but the Umpire was very animated in his discussion with the stAte coach, explaining the reason for the ejection.

RE: Weird Plays
The referee talking to head coach was the one who threw his flag about 2000 feet into the air. I thought more interesting was the lack of a response by the coach after the explanantion and the lengthy discussion he had with the ejected player as he walked down the sideline heading toward the locker room. This told me the ejection was warranted.

I thought the same thing. stAte's HC also said that if the ref thought it was worthy of an ejection, than he should have been ejected. I also took that as he agreed with the ejection.
