Championship Uniforms
They just released what Oregon and Ohio State will be wearing for the title game. I have to say I am surprised that the NCAA doesn't sell the rights to make the championship uniforms for football and basketball. I could see a nice bidding war between Nike and Under Armour, maybe even Reebok. I know that each school has an endorsement deal but I'm sure the powers that be have ways around those.

Seems like Oregon uses a different design every weekend.

That's because they do. Something new every week.

NCAA doesn't administer the bowls/CFP.
Now it is nice to see that there will be a lot of Ohio State colors at the game. Never imagined Oregon players would be getting in on that by wearing gray instead of green or yellow.

Since there is no such thing as black and white television anymore, there is no reason for a team to wear white, unless the teams have similar colors.

RE: Championship Uniforms
I'm not a fan of an endless array of uniforms. I think teams should have a traditional home and away for most games and only a couple of alternates to use during the season. When you look at teams like Penn St or Alabama or even USC you just expect them to look a certain way on the field and changing up the uniforms every week just makes it look gimmicky.

Interested in learning about the guys who will be wearing these two uniforms when the Buckeyes meet the Ducks in Arlington on Monday? I've assembled primers breaking down the rosters and coaching staffs of both schools. You can find them by following these links:

RE: Championship Uniforms
I love the marketing myth that is being created by apparel manufacturers in suggesting uniform changes are very important for recruiting. If that is the case, the memo has not reached the same programs that still seem to reel in the top 10 recruiting classes year after year without using gimmicky uniforms (USC, Alabama, Auburn, FSU, Ohio State, LSU, Texas, Oklahoma, ND, Florida, UCLA, etc).
