Did not think this turnaround would be this fast, MCH has done an amazing job....Just hope we have people that actually start attending games and supporting this team or she will be hard to keep at WKU even being an alumni...Team deserves more than 1k at the games...

It has been a long hard road back. Some thought it might never happen.

Congrats to the coaches and players.

I realize womens' sports are way down the list but this is some good national PR for C-USA.

We'll get in, eventually. Tough OOC (#4 SOS) schedule has us mixed in with many CUSA teams if you look only at overall standings, but we're still clearly a favorite to win the conference. Really a bummer WKU and MT only meet once this season - I know that's been said plenty of times already.

RE: WKU Ranked #25 in AP Poll
Here is a link to the AP Poll:
http://www.ncaa.com/rankings/basketball-...ated-press

Our Volleyball team was ranked as high as #24 this season and reached the NCAA Tournament.
Our Football team finished 8-5 and the victory in the Bahamas Bowl represented our program's first FBS Bowl win.
Our Men's basketball team is showing signs of turning this season around and is playing an exciting style.

Hopefully, the next few months will be as fun as the previous few months were for this WKU fan.

There is a thread on hilltopperhaven about WKU being on track to become the 12th women's program in history with 900 wins. That has a great chance to happen in Feb and when that does happen, CUSA will have more 900 win programs than any other conference in the nation (LaTech, ODU, WKU). 04-rock02-13-banana

If Lady Toppers can make a run for national championship and If we can get Lady Monarchs and Lady Techsters to their old glory days(6 National Championships) that combined with a very good WKU team will make this league one hell of a league. I know there are lot of if's but that will be awesome.

Nice to see both ODU and WKU continuing their success in basketball. Any of their teams (men's or women's) can be a factor in any given year. Congrats! 04-cheers

I hope you mean one of the favorites and not the favorite.

This week we win 2 road games by 14+ and drop out of the AP Poll to 26th, Lol...What a joke! Minnesota loses at home and Syracuse loses and both remain ranked..BUt yea they are a Big Ten and ACC team so I guess losses does not matter as much as a team winning 2 road games by 14+....

Minnesota lost by four to the #8 ranked team. And Syracuse lost by 2 at #16. It sucks for Western, but it is understandable.

Look on the bright side. Last week you got 40 votes. This week you almost doubled your vote total to 78. So you actually went the right direction among the voters. It was just an odd week total votes wise.

Exactly. Even though the "official" rank went down, the votes skyrocketed. Just a weird, weird situation.

@DougFeinberg: Thanks to my friends at STATS for looking this up; Western Kentucky is just fifth team to fall out of Top 25 since 2000 despite not losing.
