Also, cant believe this is the first time you have ever been ranked. I've always considered ODU one of the basketball schools and honestly assumed you guys have been ranked multiple times.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, February 14, Valentines Day. ODU @ UTEP. I think this will be one hell of a game.

WKU better not overlook Charlotte, they are due for a close win...A lot of close losses on their schedule this season but congrats to ODU...Big day for CUSA with ODU ranked and WKU women rank...I know the polls are not the only factor, but it really helps in terms of perception for a conference....

We've been close many times. We were actually #25 in 1986, but they only ranked 20 teams back then

Surprised also this is ODU's first time....Thought for sure Chris Gatling teams and what was that other guy Mark Davis? Those teams would have been ranked...

Congrats. Hold on to until we come to your place so we can beat a ranked team this season.

That'll be a game to watch for sure.

I still think UTEP's size is going to be difficult for teams in CUSA to handle. They're huge, and talented.

You're correct. ODU has received votes 23 different times and this is the first time to be in the actual rankings. 23rd time is the charm evidently.

I hope we can take care of business in conference play and keep our Top 25 ranking as long as possible. Not just for the good of ODU, but for the good of CUSA. If we're in the Top 25 entering the conference tournament, we can probably weather a loss in the semis or finals and still get an at-large. That would put two CUSA teams in. Good publicity...and good for the checkbook.

Congrats. I hope we can win against you on Valentines Day. I'm being the romantic and taking my wife to the game.

For what is worth, Lunardi has you guys as a 6 seed. I think your resume could easily take a loss or two (to a top CUSA team) and still be at-large worthy.
