I would just hate to see us lose in a UCLAesque type game. I guess living in blue neck country and having married into a blue neck family from deep in the heart of toothlessville, this just wouldn't be the year I want to see them. I would really like to see them in 3-4 years when paypalcal is gone and they are on probation.

Screw that, I want a shot at them. No downside and huge upside. I would lose a lot of friends on social media if UC somehow knocked them out this year.

This is not the year for that. We can't score against decent defenses. We would have no chance against UK. Especially because we are a terrible 3 point shooting team. You need that to beat their length on the interior.

For reference, Xavier is an 11 seed in a play in game Lunardi's fake bracket and I would much rather have that draw, with the extra game, than this draw.

The good news is these brackets are meaningless for the draw they create. They just give you a decent idea of how the field would look with a ton of games still to play.

Usually I'd love a shot at UK in hopes of taking them down, but they would be a horrible matchup for the Cats, probably the worst matchup is all of college basketball. This is not the year I want to try and take them down. Not saying we have no chance, because our defense always gives us a chance, but I'd rather face any other team this season. The UK fans are already blowing their horns harder than ever and while I'd love to shut them up by beating them, they will get all that louder if they were to take us down, which I hate to say is much more likely. Luckily we have a long way to go and if we are going to face them, I want to see them much later in the tourney, like the Championship game.
