Coaching turnover has destroyed A-states defense..under a full 2 deep with injuries right now and 6 freshmen playing.. 11 of our 26 commits are DL or OL

The bowl was so anti-climatic...it wasn't a horrible game but I turned it off and watched Season 2, episode 1 of the Americans.

Line depth has caught up with AState this year. Part of it was Gus signed some guys up front who never made it to campus, couple Harsin signed are looking like busts. Freeze paid little attention to the line in recruiting because he had depth both sides. Throw in a DL being murdered during winter break and the starting center unable to recover from having his brain bounce inside his noggin too many times and it was a mess.

But we sold lots of tickets and had a lot of fun down there until the game.

Doubt we get an official count. Our fans have long learned they get tix cheaper from the bowl but I'd guesstimated 12k to 15k so we are in the same ballpark.

It was a little harder to get a feel this year because it rained all day Saturday so a lot fewer people on the streets. But it's enough that one bar forgot all pretense of neutrality and self-declared itself the AState HQ, in one popular restaurant all the wait staff wore red and had on AState temporary tattoos at another the bill for your food said Howl Yes! at the top.

That was a terrible football game. A lot of points were scored but it was a terrible game. I have an illness and watched every snap but it was ridiculously bad football. The game also lasted three hours and 40 minutes. That is entirely unacceptable.

Anyone could have told you that would have happened whenever the two were paired. Two top 15 offenses, and bottom 20 defenses. Two teams with significant flaws that played to the other's strengths.

It was going to come down to who made the most mistakes in the end, and our two fumbles were enough to cost us the game.

ASU stopped Toledo twice in the 2nd half, they stopped ASU once. That's insanely bad defense.
