When they picked up an obvious pass interference play we all knew what the marching orders from Roger Pussdell was.

Refs have been a joke this whole game. I didn't mind it in the first half when they were going the Lions' way, but now that they're all going against Detroit it's really pissing me off. This is the worst officiating crew I've ever seen.

I feel like I'm watching a WWE wrestling match and the crowd is distracting the ref while Romo hits Calvin over the head with a chair.

Even at 14-0, did anyone seriously think we'd win?

That call was a potential 14 point swing. It was. Huuuuuuge momentum changer. Sucked the life out of them in my opinion.

It was one more embarrassment for a league that is becoming a joke.

The call was total bulls--t, but mark my words - the Lions will never win anything with Matt (Tin Man) Stafford as their quarterback. Never.

Come on. Remember how they won last time they were in Dallas? Stafford is fine.

He's Dan Marino. Puts up big numbers, but when the game is on the line and it really matters, you can count on him to come up short.

Also, I'm fairly certain the Cowboys are better now than they were then.

We're talking about the same stafford, right? The guy with all the 4th quarter comebacks and last minute TD's?

0-18 on the road in his career against teams with winning records. That isn't a made up stat.

That has nothing to do with coming up short in the last minute. He's not an elite quarterback, we know. But i guarantee at least 15 teams would drool over the chance to have him on their team. Hell, i think he's a better QB than Flacco, and flacco has a ring.

Stafford has a crap Oline when it's healthy, and when it's a patch work group like it was today it gives him no time to throw.......but he still gets it done.

ESPN NFL Live: not only was it clearly interference but Dez Bryant when he ran on the field with his helmet off and that would have made it first and goal at the 14 yard line.

One commentator said it might be the worst call ever.

"Coming up short in the last minute" is your narrative, not mine.

The Lions scored 3 points in the second half today. That isn't good enough, period. A lot (not all) of it falls on the quarterback, like it or not.

Rodgers is 1-11 in the last 12. Winning road games vs. winning teams isn't easy.

RE: The Fix is in
I stopped watching the NBA shortly after the Bad Boy era when NBA refs set up special rules for MJ. That trend continued with Kobe, Lebron, etc.

I see the same trend in the NFL. I see so many teams bailed out on third and long for illegal hits........hits that for 40 years were considered bone crushing great hits. And for some reason those teams tend to have a lot of NFL mojo in licensed apparel, along with media darling QBs.

The Lions blow up the 5'8" Cow WR on a crossing route. The Lions DB leads with his shoulder and hits him in the shoulder, but unless the DB is a dwarf he can't hit him below pads. So the short crossing route gets another fifteen tacked on, for what essentially is a good tackle. I think we should use 5'2" slot receivers, and every hit would be called an illegal hit on a defenseless receiver. If the NFL is going to wussify the game, we have to adapt.

Let's just put flags on the offensive skill players and be done with it. Or perhaps we should play it like backyard football. The game is all pass, and you can't rush the QB until you count to ten.

And while we're at it let's just review every questionable call because it's clear the guys on the field are simply fans in striped shirts who can't help themselves. On the other hand the replay crew would probably just get it wrong.

Or how about this idea. Both teams wear secret generic colors and hide their faces in KISS faces. At the end of the game the teams reveal which team they are. That way you get unbiased officiating.

I hear a lot of Lions fans saying Jerry Jones buys NFL influence. Hell, if that's the case the Ford family should own the NFL. They probably pump more ad dollars into the league than Jerry Jones is worth.

I would feel bad about the bad call, but there is no way Suh should have been on the field. How his suspension was overturned is beyond me.

No, just no. He is very good and I am sure most teams would love to have him but Flacco is the first qb to win a playoff game every year for the first 5 years in the league, 7 playoff road wins and 10 playoff wins total, and last but no least in his as 9 playoff games he has thrown 20 tds to only 2 picks.

Those are big time stats.

Hey, if you have Troy Aikmen narrating the replay ten times in a row, and he narrating a slow mo tape that makes a 5 second stepback look like a 30 second step on.........well it's easy to get a conviction.

In real time it seemed pretty benign.
