Okay, I'm ready for the new AD
Chasse would be a breath of fresh air.
After further review, the resume of the guy from UAB looks very good-he spent many years in Memphis so he knows this part of the country (of course, folks just down the road in Memphis actually love basketball). If he is personable, willing to listen to fans, etc. he will do well here.

RE: Okay, I'm ready for the new AD
Speaking of Memphis, why aren't we recruiting more high school players from that city? It's a hot bed, and surely there's someone there who might like playing at UALR where his family and friends could get over for some games.
I know we signed two jucos from that area, neither of whom are playing, but you would think a great recruiter could find one or two from Memphis every year. What's the deal? And where is Coach Robert Lee? That situation is still a mystery.

Memphis has a ton of talent. We should be over there recruiting.
I know it is a pretty rough place but there should be some talent over there that will not rape and kill everyone on campus.

I see this type of comment every year when we sign a new player, and they post his resume' on the board. This is the guy who will take us to the next level (second or third in the league). Upon further review, he is usually averaging about 3.2 points a game at some Juco.
Same with the AD applicants.
The other day this guy from UAB wasn't all that impressive, but today he "will do well here." My theory on recruits has always been, "I want to see them perform on this level" before proclaiming them the saviors. Remember Will Neighbour? He was going to be the savior, but he was injury prone, played out of position for three years, and couldn't do it by himself. Will was a great talent, and it was basically wasted.
I'll use the same theory in judging the new AD also I want to see him perform.

I have no idea how any of the AD finalists will do here. I'm just trying to be optimistic. I just hope they have a clue what they are up against at UALR. I would think Chasse does. Since it's approaching 3 weeks since interviews were completed, I assume whoever was offered the job is taking due diligence to assess the pro's and con's before accepting the job. If they are confident that they are up to the challenge, I will support them 100%. None of them will be saviors or miracle workers. But, I think the right person can make improvements on how things are done.
