Very comfortable with the prospect of Tom having to provide key minutes at any time this year if, both, Sean and Jack get into foul trouble. Tom plays like the senior he is, when on the floor.

I agree RE Tom Schalk - he doesn't get to play many minutes but he sure makes the most of the time he does get to play. Every time he is put into a game for a few minutes, he somehow manages to score a few points and snare a couple of rebounds. He must have the best "Points per minute" and "Rebounds per minute" averages on the Team!!!

RE: Drexel
Team played great! Sent Drexel to their 7th straight loss. This puts us tied for first in the conference with JMU and Hofstra at 2-0.

Hofstra's 11-4 start is deceiving given their 342nd-ranked SOS and their two conference wins coming against 1-12 Delaware and 6-7 UNCW (though their victory over Northeastern last night certainly gives this win a boost).

JMU at 9-6 is a little tougher to gauge. They beat a decent Richmond team but lost the very next game to one of the worst teams in the country in ECU (approximately 300 in the RPI). Their conference wins over CofC and Towson aren't great (as we saw when the Tribe dismantled the Cougars last week).

As of right now the predicted order of finish in the RPI (according to live-rpi.com) is:

71 Good Guys
85 Hofstra
121 Northeastern
168 UNCW
176 JMU
203 Elon
239 CofC
240 Towson
284 Drexel
316 Delaware

Order of finish predicted for the conference is:

Hofstra 15-3
Good Guys 14-4
Northeastern 11-7
JMU 10-8
UNCW 10-8
Elon 9-9
Towson 7-11
CofC 6-12
Drexel 6-12
Delaware 3-15

Currently, the only game that William & Mary is not favored in is @ Hofstra (-5.9). We have a .46% chance of running the table for the remainder of the regular season and approximately a 16.5% chance of two or fewer losses for the remainder of the regular season. RE: Drexel
I went to the CofC - JMU game last night - it saved me from the heart attack from our early 12-3 deficit.

Tough to gauge JMU because CofC is so inept on offense (25 of their 54 shots were 3-pointers and other than Canyon Barry they seem to be lacking in fundamentals) but here are some observations:

1) They used a 2-2-1 full-court press and fell back into a 3-2 zone. The purpose of the press seems to be to eat up shot clock rather than to create turnovers. JMU is long which suggests they could be effective in the zone but CoC got a ton of open 3s, just couldn't hit any.

2) They play "young". Brady used two timeouts in the first half to settle things down and there were a few possessions in the second half when it took 15-20 seconds just to set up the offense.

3) Nation seemed a little quiet to me but between Nation, Curry and Dalembert there is a ton of athleticism. Jackson Kent, who was their leading scorer coming into the game, didn't seem to be much of a factor.

They beat Richmond; we didn't. We both lost to High Point. Their games against those opponents were at home; ours were away.

I will be nervous about this one as I enter the Hall.

I am nervous anytime W&M plays JMU in any sport. They seem to have the Tribe's number, even when they shouldn't. Plus I lived up there for 11 years and it was always the game I cared the most about.

RE: Drexel
We are 6-6 over the last 12 meetings, easily one of our most competitive rivalries.

I would only be happy with 12-0.

Beat the Dukes!

I root for JMU every other game, just not against the Tribe.
