ESPN's Stuart Scott passes away from cancer at 49
Stuart Scott, a longtime anchor at ESPN, died Sunday morning at the age of 49.

Among the features of the new ESPN studio in Bristol is a wall of catchphrases made famous by on-air talent over the years. An amazing nine of them belong to one man -- from his signature "Boo-Yah!" to "As cool as the other side of the pillow" to "He must be the bus driver cuz he was takin' him to school."

I know we give ESPN a lot of crap over their bias towards P5 programs but we have all grown up with the different personalities over the years and have come to know a lot of the names and their style and catch phrases.
49 is way to young to die and I will miss seeing Staurt, whether you liked him or not you will remember "boo-yah" and "cool as the other side of the pillow".

I feel so bad for his 15 and 19 year old daughters. They no longer have their dad in their life anymore.

Of all the ESPN guys, I always felt that Stuart Scott was the most real.

I feel for his friends, family, and most of all his young daughters.

Touching comments from his very close friend Rich Eisen. It will bring you to tears.

Probably my favorite ESPN personality of them all, and there are several very good ones in my book. He was always full of energy, great rwchnically, and could turn a phrase like few others.

Stuart Scott will be missed.

BOOYAH!

Very sorry for this occurrence. I lost my best friend of nearly 40 years to cancer at approximately the same age as Mr. Scott...Bless his spirit, his family and friends...

Yes, it was...Hannah always speaks from the heart, a sad but also beautiful tribute to one she obviously cared a great deal about...

He was one of the cooler ESPN announcers. That really sucks.

There are two kinds of people in the world. Those who have been affected by cancer and those who will be.

I believe that technology will advance to the point that cancer is no longer a threat. That day can't get here soon enough.

One of the few Tar Heel graduates that I have respect for. Sad loss for the sports world.

RE: ESPN's Stuart Scott passes away from cancer at 49
This was shocking news to me today...I knew he had cancer but I just assumed he would beat it again and was on ESPN MNF pregame show not that long ago and seemed like he was doing well...Really liked Stuart Scott, he will certainly be missed and never will be another guy like him and what he brought to ESPN starting in the 90s....
