Tip-In Club Alert
Coach Shields has stepped up for the North Little Rock Downtown Tip Off Club this Monday. Originally Basketball Coach Russ Pennell of UCA was to speak but due to weather conditions for his road game which was changed to Sunday he had to cancel the Tip Off Club event.

Come support Coach Shields as he speaks to the Downtown Tip Off Club Luncheon on Monday, January 5th. The Luncheon begins at 11:15 and the program begins at 12 noon. The cost is $15 to Tip Off Club Members and $25 to non-members.

Please come and show your support to your local team! There will be a drawing for 4 UALR tickets at the end of the luncheon. The event will be held at the Wyndham Riverfront Hotel in North Little Rock.

I’ll be there and hope to see you.

You may have to pay someone to take free UALR tickets. When I'd try to give away my tickets when I couldn't go, I couldn't give them away. I never heard guys say "I dying to go see my mother-in-law tonight" as much in my life.

Do people actually show up for the luncheon when they have a speaker that wasn't baptized in a hog trough?04-bow

I imagine they showed up for Bruce Pearl and he wasn't baptized or circumcised in a hog trough.04-cheers

I think he was at some point? Or maybe I just imagined it so I could make a witty comment. I couldn't pass up the "baptized in a hog trough" comment by LRTrojan. That could make the quoteable list by itself.

May have imagined it. I really doubt I would have passed up seeing Coach Pearl.

I could swear he's spoken there at some point. I didn't attend, but if I had known the "Hog Trough" comment was forthcoming, I would have definitely made it my business to be at that luncheon!
