I don't think it's changing, it's just allowing more teams a shot changes outcomes.

Last 10 years of the BCS game with winner/loser and the next two:

2014: FSU/AU; Bama/Michigan State
2013: Bama/ND; Florida/Oregon
2012: Bama/LSU; Oklahoma St./Stanford
2011: AU/Oregon; TCU/Stanford
2010: Bama/Texas; Cinci/TCU
2009: Florida/Oklahoma; Texas/Bama (undefeated Utah at 6, undefeated BSU at 9)
2008: LSU/tOSU; Va Tech/Oklahoma
2007: UF/tOSU; Michigan/LSU
2006: Texas/USC; Penn State/tOSU
2005: USC/Oklahoma; Auburn/Texas (undefeated Utah at 6).
