So being a hypocrite is the way to do business these days?I don't give a damn about guys jobs that sign on for these gigs-it is win or be fired and they know that but it does not mean win at all costs and throw all ethics out the window.If you show up in somebody's living room asking them to trust them with your kid for the next four you are making a huge commitment on both sides of the ball.Coaches NEVER tell kids that you can be cut or even that it is a remote possibility and I guarantee you that Keats does not do it right now or ever.He and Bass saw a chance at UNCW to cut two players with nobody to answer and did it and shame on them.UNCW is a state tax payer school with zero money and I need you to tell me where they were going to get the money to keep them in school without paying for it.It has zero to do with fair and everything to do with not lying to people and doing things the right way.
He could have set down with them and told them you will not play here again but will practice hard everyday and sit the bench for the rest of your time here and left it to them,That is common practice in the world of basketball and has been for years.Make it so tough on them that they have to get better or leave.If he does that Hager would most likely leave and Anderson would quit all together is my thought.Its a sleazy move to cut kids and they took the easy way out.
One more thing,stop calling him Coach K.

That is the truth. I'm not sure why Mullet doesn't understand that.

He takes the job and they are his players,he works for the school and they commit to the school,not the head coach.It could not be any easier to understand than that.

The point is that a coach from UNCW did that and he is doing that right now.He tells parents every time he offers them it is his intention to see their player graduate from whatever school he is selling at that time.We all know how it works and most coaches are sincere and some are just telling them what they think will seal the deal.Which one do you want coaching your team,your son,your brother?He takes the job and he takes the players.They got away with it, for now.

If it weren't for the fact that he could continue to bad mouth all things UNCW from the west coast - I would suggest raising money to send mullet to Malibu where he could better keep up with his beloved pepperdine. :)

So I'm still the lone west coast rep out here huh. It's been a lonely 4 years out here. Was fun to watch the baseball teams' west coast swing last year though.

Of course they can offer academic scholarships to fulfill schollys to athletes. We are cancelling track, but all scholarship offers are being honored. What would you call that?

As a matter of fact, one of the guys did choose to stay and finish their education. Why don't you find him and ask him? You act like you're so close to what really happened.

So,bottom line is you have no real proof that Anderson is on a full academic scholarship?I will call and ask them.I can see no scenario that involves the athletic department having two extra scholarships to give to those guys.That means it comes from the other side?Come on,there is no way that can happen.I have no connections at UNCW but I will give 10 minutes to this tomorrow.
