BOISE Dilemma
From a strictly CUSA standpoint; we probably should be rooting for Arizona to come from behind and overtake the Broncos! But, I just can not pull for a Cartel-5 squad to beat one of our banished brothers from the netherworld of G-5. HANG IN THERE BOISE! Win one for the little people.02-13-banana

As much as I think Marshall is the best group of 5 team you still have to root for Boise. If they win it shows the best teams in the G5 are as good as top 10 P5 programs.

This will help Boise St. in their never ending quest to be in a P5 conference. Hello Big 12?

RE: BOISE Dilemma
I always root for any G5 representative in these BCS/Acess Bowl games as this is the best way to make the case that the best G5 champ should get an AQ slot in any future 8-team playoff. With the results of the Boise and TCU games today, I think the 8-team playoff is much closer than many may think.

RE: BOISE Dilemma
It was fun sharing a conference with Boise for a number of years when they were really good - only beat them once in the WAC and we won the conference that year 2001

RE: BOISE Dilemma
I am just so sick of Boise's BULL S**T gimmick crap!! BUT!!!! I am MORE SICK of the IDIOT GENIUS P5 coaches that are too arrogant to think that a) Even though they've pulled every trick out of the book in BCS games in the past, they won't dare try that on us... or b) Meh.. were a P5...and we're better than that team they beat...and it won't work even if they try it because we are P5 and are so much better...

Hey Professor Dick Rod.... EAT QUICHE!

Boise St is a winning program. It is simply in their DNA. This is a win for the G5 today.

RE: BOISE Dilemma
There's no way that Boise's win can be painted as anything but good for the rest of us though it'll be interesting to see the P5 knee-pad-wearing sports "journalists" trying to claim otherwise. If anyone stumbles across such an article, please post it here.

Using the transitive property we have already proved that. 04-rock
Oregon lost to Arizona
Arizona lost to Boise
Boise lost to Air Force
Air Force lost to San Diego State
San Diego State lost to Fresno State
Fresno State lost to Rice
.
Seriously depending on match ups and how teams are playing the top G5 teams can hang with any P5 teams I have no doubt. Would Alabama or Oregon win most of the time? Sure.

Not going to happen. They win, but have nothing the P5 want. No market, no academics, nothing.

I believe wins like this strengthen the case of additional G5 slots in an inevitable expanded playoff.
