For those that don't know our third candidate

To me, he seems like someone who I would love to have as the "face" of our program. He has the connections and the personality to raise money. He has folks who have been there for 30 years, like Gary Hogan and Richard Turner, who can help him with the "nitty, gritty" work of an AD. He may be slightly more of a "risk", but I think the upside, if we hire Chasse, is much higher.

Very, very impressive. I think your comment on having good experienced people around to help with the day to day stuff will be all he needs to succeed. Unlike his predecessor, he seems to be more of a team player and will listen and implement ideas not his own if he determines them to be in the best interest of the program. He's more "new school", and that's what we need in our program, IMO. He'll bring people back into the program who have left for various reasons. And I doubt he'll be doing the MC job on the coaches show. Hopefully not anyway!

Probably would be a help if he wanted to cover up something like in his baseball program. Some of them may have had experience in these internal investigations.

Richard has worked in compliance for 20 years. I'm sure it's aggravating, pain-staking work. But he is definitely good at it. Couldn't pay me enough to do it.

Isn't he the one who investigated the baseball problem, and found that there was no problem? I never trusted the fox being in charge of the hen house.

Is Turner the guy that supposedly did an investigation about the baseball program and said it was all good? If so, Double C doesn't need help from him. We went from there is nothing wrong with the baseball program to making the national news and now under a NCAA approved self imposed penalties. Turner may have been the mouthpiece for Peterson, but to me he shouldn't still be our guy over compliance since it looks like Peterson/him were more interested in protecting the coach and possibly themselves instead of the student athletes.
