Ohio State, for that matter, was absolutely given the football game against PSU. They should have 2 losses and not even be there. It was blatant referee calls, or none calls, that won Ohio State the game. I like to call it, the 2014 version of Colorado's 5th down fiasco that ultimately won them a fictitious NC.

That's not what it's all about. A lot of teams could beat any or all of the 4 teams.

The question that has to be answered is: Does a team deserve to be there above everyone else? What does TCU have that any of those schools don't? Not saying that I don't think TCU should be there.

Alabama vs FSU in championship game

So while not perfect. I prefer it to what was there before. Do they need to expand the playoffs yes, do they need something better than last year's committee, yes.

I think overall the playoffs will be seen as a success and better than the previous system because Ohio State beat Alabama.

There is room for improvement. I believe that every athlete should be able to compete for a National Championship no matter what school he attends. The two-tiered system is stacked against the G5 for inclusion into a 4 team play-off and therefore prevents many athletes from a realistic chance at a national championship. This contrasts with NCAA Basketball and NCAA FCS where no matter what school you go to, you have the opportunity to be the national champion.
