New Years Resolution
2014 was a great year but 2015 is looking even brighter.

I have accepted a new job and thus it is a good time to resolve to do better. After today, I resolve to no longer comment on any threads from 2014. I also resolve to be as positive and serious as possible.
Happy New year to all .

Excellent. I also need to lose 15 pounds but I'll settle for 10.

Given the recent tragedies, perhaps we can all resolve to treat our fellow men nicer. We could start on this forum.

It's still 2014.

I'd say my resolution was to quit smoking, start working out, and go back to 215 lbs from the 235 I'm at, but I already quit smoking and I already started my diet and workout routine. So I don't really have a resolution. Plus on January 2, I'll be 6 years into my next 30 years so I've changed as much as I'm ever gonna change.

I need to lose 65 pounds. I'm 6'2" and 270 pounds ... need to get down o 205 like I used to be.

That's my only priority for myself. If I could do something to help the UConn and SMU football programs, I would do it. Both are at the bottom right now.

Stop eating bread and sugar, start drinking more water.

It's the hardest effing thing to do for about 3 months, but if you can do it for that long, you'll lose the craving and you'll shred those pounds off in no time. I did that on a carb diet and lost 2 pounds a day for 2 weeks after the first 5 days. I couldn't handle it anymore and went back to bread and sugar. Now I'm 235 again. But I just started that diet again and will hopefully hold it this time. My brother-in-law did it for a year and went from a big belly (and 240 pounds @ 5'11) to a 6 pack and structure in his face again (and now he's 175). He's 43, and at that age, if he can do it, anyone can. Good luck to you, brother. If you do it, just remember that I'm suffering the agony of desirable bread and sugar right along with you.

Also remember that after 2 weeks, your weight lines out, that's why I gave up. DON'T GIVE UP LIKE I DID!

RE: New Years Resolution
Stop being a slacker at work.
Stop verbally abusing my kids.
Stop physically abusing my wife.
Pay my taxes.
Cut down on the cocaine.
Stop throwing bricks at Obama on TV.
Stop taking money out of the collection plate at church.
Stop shouting "burn this place down" at protests.
Stop voting Democrat.

If I can do half of that, it will be a good year.

Thanks. I have to do it. I'm tired of drugs for blood pressure, cholesterol, and triglycerides. I'm sick of going to the pharmacy and paying that $90/month.

Go back to your doc and ask him if you are heathy enough for a low carb diet. If so...do that schit. Nothing I ever did was as easy..and I never got hungry...ever. I lost almost 40 pounds over 6 months and felt great while doing it with very little exercise. After I lost the 40 I was able to start back with exercise and a normal diet. I have kept the weight off for 6 years. If you were like me? I was so overweight that I had NO energy to get off the couch and get active. After dropping the weight, I felt so good that I wanted to start an exercise program.

good luck....it's a lifestyle game changer.....
