2 episodes left for Mare of Easttown and I am looking forward to see how they wrap this all up...excellent show thus far that has a True Detective type feel to it. Great recommendation!
Rick and morty is great. It takes me awhile to really appreciate a show but I think it's up there with the south parks and the Simpsons of animated series

Saw several episodes of Patriot's Season 1 and liked it but just kinda lost track of it before finishing. Now I might just go back and binge the rest.
"Hack" on HBO got a lot of good reviews but I was lukewarm on Season 1. Jean Smart is terrific as usual but I found the other lead to be mostly annoying. We'll see how it goes, but right now I don't plan on sticking with it whenever Season 2 comes out.
As far as lesser-time commits, the documentaries by Val Kilmer and on John Belushi (2020) were both pretty good and interesting style-wise although not necessarily must-see.
Movie-wise, I thought "I, Tonya" was really good. Margot Robbie is simply the whole package as an actress. Hidden gem-wise, if you are looking for something to watch with your S.O. and open to a 20-somethings rom-com, you could do a lot worse than "What if" (from 2014 and on Prime).

I have some observations regarding a channel as opposed to a show.
Given that I am older than dirt (I voted for the guy who invented fire), I am a sucker for 60’s and 70’s r&r concerts. AXS TV has carried programming that reflects my interests with the exception that they have never heard of jazz.
When AXS premiered, there were very few commercials or advertisements in spite of the fact that CBS owned/owns AXS. One could watch a full concert from “Yes” with the classic lineup with almost no interruptions.
As a result, their ratings skyrocketed.
Today, concert footage is dominated by commercials and advertisements. Shows that previously were scheduled for a 60 minute slot now consume 90 minutes - or more. CBS has ruined the channel with so many advertisements that it is almost unwatchable.
But you say, “Q, why not record the show and fast forward through the advertisements?”
Part of the problem is that CBS has taken the Google approach of showing ads mid-song. One could be listening to a Steve Howe guitar solo and halfway into the solo, we get to hear about Liberty Mutual and their idiotic emu thus ruining the solo.
I had not watched any of the Marvel Disney+ shows but I just watched WandaVision and was pleasantly surprised. I'll probably watch the Winter Soldier show and/or Loki show sometime this fall.
A ton of streaming shows / movies that were postponed over a year with C19 will be coming out in the next 4 months. Sex Education (8 episodes came out today) is #1 on the list below and I know my wife thought that show was entertaining. https://www.imdb.com/emmys/most-anticipa...512528897/
With kids sports and the Cincinnati Football and Basketball seasons, throw in excellent shows coming back...I'll need to find some time to get back into shape. Stepped on the scale this morning and it might be broke...plus my daughter was pointing out the grey hairs in my beard. There's always the 4th quarter / second half to get back on track, unless you're Xavier and the Big East let's you lose the 1st game of the conference tournament to DePaul before canceling said conference tournament

Don’t F with Cats, Pharmacist, Last Kingdom, After Life, Dead to Me, Unbelievable
HBO-
Murder on Middle Beach, Night Of, Barry
Amazon-

Showtime-
Outcry, Escape at Dannemora
Apple-
The Morning Show
Mr Mercedes- season 1
Mandalorian
Movies- Snowden, Parasite, Joker, king of Staten Island, Knives Out
I knew about some of these, but I hadn't seen more than a little bit of any of them until recently with Barry. It's a worthy pick. Hader did some funny stuff with SNL, but I always felt Hader was a little weird. He does a fine job here - of course, we are talking about an "assassin/wannabe actor" so maybe it shouldn't be surprising. The show holds up pretty well going back and forth from comedy to drama and Barry is the most loveable assassin since Leon. Looking forward to S3.
What next, hmm...
Made my way through a couple more of these. The Morning Show S1 is pretty decent. Swings to the left of course, but Billy Crudup's character is a hoot. Season 2 is nearing the end - I'll probably try to binge it sometime in the next month or so.
Escape At Dannemora is a really good 7 part series. The name sounded familiar but somehow I overlooked it and despite the name never really knew what it was about when it came out. Maybe because I didn't have Showtime. Anyway, it turns out it is about a prison break (duh) and I'm not sure how I missed it a couple of years ago - I guess it's partially because I didn't have Showtime. Going to have to keep an eye on Ben Stiller as a director.

Also love Better Call Saul, which is supposed to premiere in early 2022. I think Bob Odenkirk's heart attack delayed that one a bit.
All 3 of those shows would be in my top 5 of shows I am excited about upcoming.
I had lunch with office employees (age range of 22-60, 4 women and 2 men) and the topic of streaming shows people were excited about came up, so I grabbed a yellow pad a wrote down every show name listed...here is that list with my top 5 in bold

Of the many I haven't seen on that list, Yellowstone is probably at the top although 4 seasons is a lot to catch up on. But I've also heard some interesting buzz about the newly released Midnight Mass, often in conjunction with discussion about Evil.
On that note, Evil is kind of hard to find (the show, haha) since it moved to Paramount Plus for Season 2 which is nearing its end. But I'd still highly recommend it for any fans of the genre. My only reservation is I'm getting a bit of a Lost vibe (and not in a good way) in the sense there's been a lot lately of WTF is going on that makes you wonder how/if this all ties together or at least get explained.

We're almost done with Peaky Blinders. I really like it, but wouldn't put it on the elite level. My wife likes it more than she thought she would, which is better than I hoped.
Shows I plan to watch in the near(or somewhat near as I don't really have much TV time these days) future:
For All Mankind
Foundation
Ted Lasso
Mythic Quest
Reservation Dogs
Also really looking forward to Amazon's Wheel of Time Series. Going in without having read the books which is new to me.

1883 hasn't started yet. It's supposed to be a prequel to Yellowstone. A starring lineup of Sam Elliot, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill is enough to draw me in.
I'm also interested another Tyler Sheridan creation in Mayor of Kingstown starring Jeremy Renner, and Kyle Chandler (I really liked him in Bloodline). That one starts November 14.

My wife and I both enjoyed that series. It was very well made, way better than most horror themed series. Does a surprisingly good job of considering how people respond to things they don't understand.
Has anyone watched the Squid Games? The Korean take of the Hunger Games using adults. Some good twists in the story line. Also and easy watch with ~ 7 episodes.
