RE: B1G abbreviation for BigTen does make any sense

ACC, B1G, PAC, SEC, XII
AAC, CUSA, MAC, MWC, SBC
A10, BE, WCC
As the first one on the site to routinely use B1G and P5/G5 I approve.
I can throw down an FBS wide realignment scenario in less than 1 minute flat with the abbreviations.

You do realize there is a search function with this site, correct?
Cheers,

B1G... because B2L12 just doesn't look right on a patch!

The 3-letter abbreviation matters in today's world because of Twitter. It might not have been the primary motivation for the logo change, but it's the biggest benefit. Quite to the contrary about any "confusion" with the Big 12, it actually has made sure that whenever people see "B1G" or "BIG" anywhere, they instinctively see "Big Ten". That's effective branding.
Every time I see it I think, "Bee one Gee"

So if the BigTen had not come out with that stupid logo, then I guess you would just use B10.
Although using that logic, it should be P12, not PAC. But I like PAC better. Either one works for the PAC-12.
