RE: Noah Spence
Has anyone bothered to confirm this is the same Noah Spence as the Ohio State player and not some random kid with the same name?

How do you suggest we do this? Do you happen to have his SSN? Or maybe the SSN of the enrolled Noah Spence?
The closest anybody can get to confirming it is what was stated above re: father's name and matching middle name. That's at least enough for some good internet speculation. I forgot we needed fool proof evidence to start discussing things on here...

Common sense. There are some posters here who are students and or know guys on the team, coaching staff, in the athletic department, etc. With today's social media nothing stays a secret for long.

If he just enrolled, then he won't be on campus until after the winter break.

True, but you think he would at least made a campus visit before enrolling. And regardless, in today's day and age still don't think it could be kept under wraps for very long at all.

I believe it is safe to say his middle name begins with "G".

Haha I totally spent like 15 minutes earlier today racking my brain and the internet trying to verify his middle name/initial and came up with bupkis. You win the internet today, good sir.

RE: Noah Spence
His JMU email is available to all. Send him a message and ask if you want. I'm not going to post it, as I am satisfied that the Ohio State Noah Spence is now enrolled at JMU. Whether or not he shows up in BFS I can only hope, and with this "hope", he becomes the leader that I envision and EW needs.

RE: Noah Spence
ESPN's 4th ranked player coming out of high school ... 1st Team Big 10 as a sophomore at Ohio State ... I'll trust Withers if he thinks he can straighten him out for a year. This guy can and will dominate at the FCS level. It will be a man amongst boys out there. Vad leading the offense and Spence leading the defense, we could roll competition next year. No joke!

I asked him. Don't think it's creepy at all. He chooses to be on a social platform and I asked him to comment on a possible transfer, not a recruit. I did not expect him to answer, but it doesn't hurt to ask. I would never reach out to the player though.

Didnt think it was creepy , but Withers is not going to answer especially w/o a press release first.

Yeah - it's not creepy to ask on Wither's official twitter. Emailing a student you don't know to ask who he is = very creepy.
(And, yes, I know that there are some/many on here who would email the kid, but I would hope that most would realize that that is not really cool. You don't want to be THAT guy.)
