The latest unbeliveable police travesty
Nashville Police Responded Peacefully to Peaceful Protesters, and That Made Some Folks Upset

Quote:Hundreds of protesters marched into downtown Nashville in November, upset, as were some people in other cities, that Ferguson, Missouri, Police Officer Darren Wilson would not be indicted for shooting and killing Michael Brown. The protest was peaceful, but did block some streets for a while, including Interstate 24.

The Nashville police and its chief, Steve Anderson, decided not to respond with militarized force and orders to disperse. Police closed the affected streets to keep the protesters safe and offered coffee and hot cocoa to marchers who arrived in front of the downtown police station.

Figured some levity was in order, since the wackos on the left use police injustice to justify other crimes and the wackos on the right think you need tanks to be tough on crime and that if you are capable of observing some of the serious shortcomings in the present policing methods you must hate all cops, deal drugs, and listen to gangster rap.

Police do the right thing every day. Those actions just don't make good news and don't help line the pockets of race profiteers so we don't see all the good deeds.

this is great when protests are peaceful, not so great when the looting starts and you are a business within that perimeter.

You would think after 250 years the U.S. of all places would have protests and dealing with protestors figured out.

Can't we find a middle way between burning & looting and Tienneman (sp?) Square?

Most people have, however those protests don't make the papers.
