Too small a sample size, SEC fan. Look at the teams played. Memphis lost close games to UCLA and Ole Miss, both top 11 and both on the road. Memphis would have beaten a LOT of middling P5 teams.

Only in an AAC fanboy's dream is it "trolling" to point out how awful the AAC's top teams have been against the P5 this year, in a thread about whether certain AAC teams could compete effectively in the Big 12.

I have to admit, I am a bit surprised and not with joy over the Big 12's performance to date. And my guess is you will see flat teams in TCU and Baylor. That could turn out bad.

WVU does have the excuse of breaking in a new QB a few days before the bowl game, but who likes excuses. Not sure about the others.

I will admit, however; I am not one of those SEC types that shouts from the Moutain tops Big 12!, Big 12!, Big 12! when things aer going well either. Not many of us from other leagues are. It's a weird thing.

My experience with fans of SEC schools is they only chant SEC! when THEIR team is winning. They hate when other SEC teams win.

Here's my math:

Cincy, UCF, and Memphis were all 8-1 in the AAC. That's 24-3 against AAC, hence G5, opponents, because AAC opponents are G5 opponents. Beyond that, they were combined 5-0 against G5/BYU out of conference, so 29-3 overall, though Memphis/Cincy counts as a win/loss double count.
