RE: Advocare V100 Texas Bowl: Texas vs Arkansas
I'm thinking TCU and Baylor are good at the expense of OU and Texas so that really isn't a good trade off when the name brands go down. Texas and OU really need to look at their options. I like taking the first offer from the big 10, sec or pac 12 that would jump to 18 with 4-6 big 12 school's and have 3 pods of 6.

Arky will be seriously feared in two years or less...

Try next year.

I watched about a quarter, then gave up and found something more interesting to do. My dreams of getting to say Hookem Horns to all the annoying Pig fans I know were dashed.

Big 12 really stunk it up today.

There is a lot of football left to be played but really the world is now riding on the shoulders of Baylor and T.C.U. when it comes to the Big 12. And Yeah 10th, the bottom of the SEC West acquitted itself well today.

Yes, even though OK and TX were far from the best Big 12 teams this year, they are still the conference's blue-chip, flagship brand names, so their losses hurt more than when a Kansas or Iowa State loses. Overall, a dreadful day for the Big 12. They really need to win those BCS games, which I think they have a good chance of doing.
We'll see Quo. I agree that the two better teams are yet to play, but between them they only have 1 win against any kind of OOC team and that was T.C.U.'s blowout of a dubious Minnesota team. The Gophers could show up in force against Mizzou, or they could roll over. You never know what you are going to get out of them. So it's hard to say what Baylor and T.C.U. really have. Especially with 3 of the other football schools going down. Remember Kansas State lost to Auburn at home and Texas Tech lost to Arkansas at home. So the whole OOC comparison vehicle only favors the Oklahoma team that got wiped by Clemson when they beat a rebuilding Tennessee. We have a lot to learn yet!

That Arkansas front line averaged something like 315 lbs if I remember right?

I wasn't much of a believer in Bielema going down South and creating a strong program that plays the same kind of ball that his Wisconsin teams played but it seems as if he is doing just that.

Those West teams better prepare for that Bulldozer of an offense.

Watching Missouri quickness at the front line vs that Arkansas strength is going to be an interesting match up.

Texas is 109th in scoring, so unfortunately such an anemic offensive performance has not been unique this year. (and Arkansas is 9th in defense).

Proved the point I made on the other thread. OU's total ineptness was very enjoyable, but I got bored after a while.

Glad you enjoyed it because, with Strong as your HC, I'll get a lot more opportunities to enjoy your losses than you will ours. Book it. But don't worry, he'll always tell your fan base that you're the better team, no matter how badly you lose. 03-lmfao

Miles, Meyer, Saban, are all Northern guys so not surprised if Bielema does well at Arkansas.

No question JR, the remaining bowl games will be fun and informative. About the only sure-thing I know of is LSU beating Notre Dame today. The Irish are decimated by injuries and they quit on this season some time ago.
