Cheesecake Factory rumor
Heard from a relative over the holidays that a Cheesecake Factory was going to be built where the old Cozymel's was on Polplar. Right in front of the new IP tower that's being built. Said they heard it from a Germantown city official. Apparently they were looking at Germantown but liked the East Memphis location more.

Maybe the Memphis Business Journal or CA already hinted at it but I hadn't seen anything and thought it was interesting with all recent news about national retailers and chains coming into the Memphis market.

RE: Cheesecake Factory rumor
Considering Memphis' ranking within the unhealthiest cities in America, I'm surprised the Cheesecake Factory has waited this long.

I heard they were looking at Germantown. Seemed kinda like an odd combination. The East Memphis location seems like a more logical place.

Yeah. Now if Memphis could work toward urban developments and improving it's urban fiber and infrastructure in the core, y'all would be in business.

Worthy to be included in the next "Why I Chose Memphis" article.

CF was rumored to go in the part of Saddle Creek that's being redeveloped. What's to become of the Macaroni Grill? The new Hueys in GT seems plenty busy.

Memphis needs to recruit the Houston based Pappas lines of restaurants. Pappadeauxs and Pappacitos. Those are mighty fine.

Yep. Went to Pappdeauxs somewhere. Too many days on the road to remember where.

That would be great! Pappadeaux is my fave place for cajun and seafood. Pappa'a is bbq (texas style, prob wouldn't go over well up there), and Pappasitos is awesome too

These ain't ****. They're nice for Memphis though. The fact that you even entertained the thought of including the Fairgrounds proposal in your response is pretty damn funny.

233 million is a whole lot of 'funny'...but you just keep on laughing.

Hell, we're getting more infrastructure money than Nashville.

There you go with the inferiority complex by bringing Nashville into it, but since you mentioned it, what has that infrastructure money done that's comparable to what Nashville has going on?

Like I said, what Memphis has going on ain't ****.

Facts are facts, and have nothing to do with your percieved inferiority complex, or the neurosis you clearly suffer from.

As I said, facts...

Quote:MEMPHIS – State spending figures show Memphis has gotten more funding for transportation projects over the last four years than Nashville.

The Commercial Appeal reports the Tennessee Department of Transportation has obligated $664 million in Shelby County in that time period compared to $347 million that’s been committed in Davidson County.

I've heard both of these locations mentioned. Heard the CF rumors before though so we will see.

The Cheesecake Factory in Nashville - Green Hills (there is another one at Cool Springs) is overrated and over priced, IMO.
