Off subject I know, but what is your opinion of how good Lawson's can be? I've been told with hard work that they can be best since Tyreke. Especially Dedric.

"From some of our reports about him he's very active on the defensive end and a great communicator on the defensive end and those are two things we need from our bigs. We'll see how he translates that from Houston to here."

To make roster room for Black, L.A. simultaneously released swingman Xavier Henry, who suffered a season-ending Achilles injury at a practice in late November.

And from a couple key members of his old organization:

“Tarik did a great job,” Rockets coach Kevin McHale said. “I told him he’ll be picked up in our league. I told him in preseason, I said ‘Tarik, you have to go out and open people’s eyes. You didn’t get drafted.’ But he came in and had (15) rebounds in a (preseason) game. Everybody around the league is saying, ‘Dang, what did we miss on Tarik Black?’

“He’s on people’s radar. He’ll get another job. He’s a great kid. I really liked coaching him. A wonderful young man. We’re going to miss him. It’s a tough business this league.”

With the Rockets in Memphis, Black’s hometown, Howard had dinner on Christmas with Black and his family, not hearing about the Rockets decision until the next morning.

“Personally, it was very tough for me,” Howard said. “Tarik was my guy. We spent a lot of time with him away from basketball, went to Church a lot together, bible studies, all that stuff. Tarik is like a little brother to me. I was very sad today when I heard the news, but I understand this is a business.

“As a teammate, he worked very hard every day in practice. He battled. It’s tough to see him go. He’s a really good teammate, a really good guy.”

Your act is not funny

Not an act--just-FACT---"-WHO" quit on his home team-- after he spent a good portion of his time as a Tiger being Mr negative and disruptive. HE QUIT and then became enemy. In another post, you inferred that I am a miserable----however you bash true tigers----FUNNY you are.

I agree. Time for some new material. This joke has gone beyond stale.

What is stale, is people who defend the actions of "WHO" when he was a Tiger---and before he became a quitter traitor.

Is Drew Barham a quitter traitor? Is Antonio Barton?

Many claim there is a difference because we needed Tarik, and we didn't really need DB or AB; but that's bull$hit, because from the players perspective the situations were exactly the same. They weren't happy here, they saw a better fit elsewhere, they had graduated and by NCAA rule, they were allowed to move on with few restrictions.

So the answer to your question (Who?) is Tarik Black, a University of Memphis alum!

Exactly the same? You and your buddies are so blinded by your hate for Pastner, it has warped the way you think.
