Game Day: Concordia
Big days for sports fans:

Concordia visits at 1:00 and Lions visits Pack at 4:30.

EMU men's basketball and the Lions are back. Not many years ago both were bad.

Is this an exhibition game? I know their record is pretty good. Should they be careful about this game?

Nope. Game counts for us. Might be an exhibition game for them. (I believe either D-II or NAIA counts these D-I games as exhibition games).

Not concerned with emu winning. Just want to see them play well and stay healthy.

Steve,
At some point you will need to move on and become a Redskins or Ravens fan. :)

Lol. I thought of that. I wouldn't need to pay for a DirecTV NFL subscription to watch the Lions.

I could go 'locals' for free...

What's with Price starting? I can see Alvano starting and Talley off the bench, but Price IS an OFF THE BENCH guy...

No clue. Can't imagine it's permanent though.

RE: Game Day: Concordia
Probably. He still hasn't come into the game (Trent Perry has), not that he's needed today.

This is tough to watch. Our defense is too much for little Concordia. Better than a long layoff between the Coppin State and Ball State games though, I guess.

It turned out to be what was expected. Yawn. Can't wait for conference play to begin.

Looks like Nazione rolled his ankle pretty good. Limped off the court. Staying in the game. Tough kid.

Tim Bond is still "50/50" to play this year. Chad says we still may redshirt him.

RE: Game Day: Concordia
Is Lee sitting the 1st half?

BTW, I liked the recruiting note:

Bond (and EMU) are trying to recruit a PG, former h.s. teammate, who went prep school. A former Toledo commit???

I'll check it out.

Funny how we thought that our block numbers would be down without Riley and Bryant, yet we lead the conference in blocks right now. KWard has been notable in that category. His timing is fantastic.

Looks like Lee was just benched for the 1st half. He's in the game now.

RE: Game Day: Concordia
This game is a LOT more than an easy win over a NAIA team. It is an excellent defensive show and very good offensive show...

Nice to see Alvano hit a couple threes, and KWard continue his confident offensive play. Samuels and Ajayi both played well too.
