Right --- beating up on bad teams tells you absolutely nothing. Maybe if we beat Tulane.

So are you guys pretty much done with Pastner?

'Us guys' might be --- but it's 'them guys' with the mega-millions to buy out the contract then the additional couple of million to hire a new coach that matter. With that - still hoping that the new guys find a way to come together.

This is reality. Whether 'we' on message boards want him gone or not is irrelevant, the big boys with the fat wallets are making that call; everything else is just noise. But it does appear that the fanbase in general has seen enough.

130 wins his first 5 years...wins over ranked teams like Louisvillex2, Oklahoma State, Gonzaga, SMU, St Mary's...4 straight wins this season, and 5 of the last 6...yeah, better fire that guy! lol

When your coach is the 9th highest paid in all of college basketball you should expect more from him than a bunch of wins over nobodies and a handful of ranked teams. For that kind of money we should be a contender more years than not. But honestly, we haven't been a contender since Calipari left.

He was 5-19 against ranked opponents prior to this season, and has 2 NCAA tourney wins in 5 years.

He had his chance, it's now time to move on to someone else.

With the amount of money they are throwing at Pastner, they should be able to find themselves a pretty good coach.

It's not your money, so you don't get a say...when the Ambassador's want him gone, he will be, and they will be the ones who pay for it.

That said, the Memphis job pays that...it's not about Pastner...it's about ensuring everyone knows the Memphis job is 'big time'

I feel the same way, but we have looked a lot better. Will that translate? I guess we will find out.

I love the enthusiasm, but I think you're jumping the gun. At the first of the year, we were playing like total garbage.......we've elevated to crappy, but still not going anywhere this year I'm afraid. Hope I'm wrong and this thread is shoved in my face for an apology in April, but I doubt it.

uh you forgetting that he beat a highly ranked Louisville squad last year twice, Gonzaga, St. Mary's. Oklahoma State...and SMU last season? Two future Coaching Hall of Famers in the same year?
You don't consider those quality wins?
