Military Bowl
I'm going to say that this bowl game right now it's the best conference bowl tie in the AAC has.

Great venue and opponent. And wow, there is a packed house too today. :)

RE: Military Bowl
The Military Bowl has the best venue, the Birmingham bowl has the best opponent due a bowl game in SEC country. The AAC's bowl's this year are much better than the other G5's sans Boysee in the Access Bowl. Hopefully this year will be the last that we don't put a champion in the Access Bowl. OOC success and a championship game will put our champion in the drivers seat most years with MWC close behind if our champion can win 1 or 2 OOC games.

RE: Military Bowl
I am worried that the higher quality teams in the AAC (multiple teams) will continue to 'beat up on each other' and result in 2-3 loss champions, whereas Boysee (Love that!) will continue to wreck a comparatively weaker MWC and get that Access bowl slot most years.

Given the current situation, Genius move on their part getting the money AND the easier path to a BCS bowl...

The attention that Marshall got before they lost... even given a high school schedule, supports my concern...

But we shall see. Hope this does not happen.

It wouldn't be a bad idea if AAC teams attempted to agree to a series with Boise St to knock them off

Much better than it was in RFK.

First bowl game I've watched this year that had a good sized crowd.

If AAC teams take care of business in the non conference, that won't matter. This year, we most certainly didn't when taken as a whole.

UC's A.D said UC brought 9,400 to the game. It was a big Va. Tech crowd but a decent showing by UC fans.

How do you figure you will be sent there every year with lots of other options in Temple, UConn, Navy and Cincinnati? I would say maybe twice over the 6 year cycle.

I agree. Great venue, solid opponent and a very good crowd. We need to guarantee our 1-3 pick and try to lure a higher ACC team with this one. Then hopefully enhance the Miami beach bowl opponent and we will be onto something.

~10k is a pretty good showing, I'd say.

I don't think many fanbases can expect to outnumber VT fans in neutral site games.

We need a P5 opponent for the Miami Beach Bowl.

It looked like it was close to a sellout, good crowd today.

The stadium seats 34k. So it was soldout, and some SRO tickets were sold.

This 34,000-seat facility was built at a cost of $3 million with all of the money raised through private contributions
