It's an older article. Too bad UAB ended up not getting that one last chance to shine, but many former players will next year as the "BlazerJags" take the field in Mobile in 2015...

"BlazerJags"...Clever, yet painful at the same time...I wish them the best, but I also wish we still had a team to keep them on and play for, heaven knows they didn't want to go, but evil had to play the death card on us.

In the midst of the ongoing crisis, is there any role for the University of South Alabama, or the other colleges and universities around the state? I realize there may not be, but I think anyone who cares about transparency and integrity within the academic community has to be concerned about what's going on at UAB.

yes, contact your state legislatures and ask them to support the bills proposed by jack Williams and John Rogers to change the board makeup. There is also one bill to reinstate UAB football. ask for support of this one as well.

That is the best thing everyone can do.

Attallablaze I hope every Alabamian would/will do that. But I meant, is there anything that other instate colleges/universities can do, specifically in their role as colleges and universities.

The state college administrators could speak out publicly but they won't. Maybe they could reach out to the Governor but the problem is he is paid off by Bryant.
