St. Petersburg Question / NC State Article
Any significant players from the team no playing tomorrow? Haven't seen anything which I guess means everyone signficant is starting for the Knights.

Here's a link to a N&O article. No surprise, Wolfpack will win by 10
http://www.newsobserver.com/2014/12/25/4...p=/99/103/

Article suggests a defensive resurgence by State. A win over Wake isn't a testament to a great defense imho. The UNC victory and margin, was surprising however. Not surprising in that State scored against UNC...but that they did keep UNC from scoring.

I picked UCF in my confidence bowl pick pool and had them at 30 of the 39 games. Don't do me wrong Knights!

Former starting UCF Center/Guard Joey Grant recently had season ending surgery...as did WR JJ Worton.

Believe those 2 are the only ones officially out for tomorrow's game (maybe another player got nicked up or even hurt in practice, but UCF normally doesn't put out that info).

It is hard to know what to expect from the Pack. They have shown improvement as the year progressed.

No clue...as NC State has maybe the best ground game UCF has faced all season long (average 200 yds per game, 5.4 yds per carry).

While NC State doesn't throw a ton (200 yds per game), NC State rarely makes mistakes in the passing game...throwing just 6 INT's in 12 games.

As with most games...it will be won on the OL/DL Battles.

If NC State can run on UCF...that will open up their play action.

UCF's D is usually best when they can make the other team one dimensional.

I call this one a toss up now. State seems to be playing its best football down the stretch. Whoever wins the war in the trenches takes this one. It would not surprise me to see this game be decided by a FG late.

He hasn't had a great year and his injury plagued season probably had a lot to do with that but he is still one of our best options when healthy.

RE: St. Petersburg Question / NC State Article
I do think that UCF will have trouble with Jacoby Brissett...he is no doubt an extremely underrated player. He doesn't have much help around him but he's sick raw talent at 6'4 235 with a cannon arm. That said, though, Doeren has learned that he doesn't need to throw the ball for the O to play its most effective. They've gone to more of a zone read attack of late, and he's not going to be throwing the ball 45 times like he was early in the season. He ran for 167 on UNC's pitiful defense and although UCF's D aren't all-world, they're better than what the Tar Holes have by far. He's going to make mistakes, and I think GOL and staff will fire up some stuff to cause him some chaos, but he'll have himself a day.

Other side, State's defense will be better than expected for those who don't often watch them, but this game will be a relatively high scoring one. It's gonna be close.
