Marshall would have given you a game.

The lack of defenses in that league is disturbing.

And the killer defenses in the SBC are so much better huh? How about our game vs yall?

Edit: looks like marshall and rice can play defense from these bowl games. Saw la tech play defense first hand.
Geaux don't you need to go on over to your future board(Cusa) and wear out the knees in your Xmas pants like you have on all your other pants, begging for admittance? Guess you learned your lessons well from your buddies at La Tech.

It would be my biggest nightmare if the Cajuns would join c-usa. I can't stand c-usa. I would trade the 2 Florida schools, FIU and FAU, for GS and App St anyday.c-usa might have been attractive before all the good teams bolted and left them with a bunch of former SBC schools.

In just this past year we have new rivalries which has been fun. I don't think It will take the SBC to be one of the stonger G5 conferences winning alot of our OOC games.

As far as being a fan, c-usa sux.

Joining the Sun Belt has been fun. Back in our FCS days our biggest rivals were App St, Wofford and Furman so when we announced we would be moving to FBS my first thought was that I would sure miss see those teams at Paulson but now I can't wait to see Texas St, ULL, Arkansas St, , Troy, USA and of course App come to town. And the other teams like ULM and NMSU are certainly more entertaining to watch than some of the old SoCon teams so I for one hope this conference stays together and thrives.

What we need is at least one more bowl tie in (5 for 12 teams) plus an all-sports add that makes since, a new TV contract that has a better pay-out and finally to win our OOC games. Do those four things and especially the last one consistently and we all will benefit.

So having multiple teams in our division that are less than 5 hours from lafayette sucks right? Teams that we have history with sucks right? Ok guy...

No, it was post #39 in this thread

Multiple teams within 5 hrs? Overall, Like 3 out of 13. In a possible division, 3 out of 6, Rice, La Tech, and USM. The only team within 5 hrs.that we have a history in that division is Tech. I might miss MT and WKU from the SBC, but they can have NT, FIU, and FAU.

I think Marshall and Rice are the next to leave and UAB's gone, so then you are pretty much left with the old SBC conference schools along with Tech and the Texas schools. I was just giving my opinion, if you don't like it, too bad

I make it to dallas in 5 or less every time, San antonio in about 5 1/2...so you're happy with the new additions of Idaho and NMSU im guessing right?

I use to live in Dallas which is about 400 mile from Lafayette, but Denton is 40 miles from Dallas.

Its just my opinion that I wouldn't want to be with the old SBC conference teams for football. I rather Ark St, USA, and Troy. Ark St and USA have been our rivalries out of the old SBC in multiple sports. In my post, I said as a fan what I would rather. If you like c-usa then good for you.

I would much rather drive to Boone, NC which is very pretty especially during football season

Still dumb and delusional I see, you haven't changed a day from your AGS posting days.

The fact is 10 or more CUSA schools would beat SlAppy and WKU and Marshall could name the score while doing it. Didn't one of the not so good CUSA schools beat you, I think so.....

Slappy? Is that supposed to be remotely clever or even mean anything?

App at the beginning of the year was BAD. But that's not how we finished. If you think 10 CUSA teams would beat App at the end of the year, you're delusional. WKU and you guys are the only ones who would probably be favored. I don't think we'd beat either but neither would be a blowout.

Even WKU was playing pretty bad at the beginning of the year and got better... So did App.

LATECH would be favored over App. Still, App is a very good program and is my pick to win the SBC this coming year.

At a minimum, 4 teams (Marshall, La. Tech, Rice, WKU) would for sure be favored against App. Another 3 (UAB, UTEP, MTSU) would be tossups by a couple of points either way.

I'll give you La Tech, didn't realize how good of a season they ended up having. Don't think Rice would. And those games would probably be toss ups, but it doesn't support his claim that ten CUSA teams would beat App, which is ludicrous.

You guys were the better conference this year but Jesus, that's just dumb.
