Who are your football Peers?
In honor of the thread discussing academic peers and the fact that I am still stuck at work. Please identify who you would like to be in conference with non p5 please. Who do you consider peer programs or who do you feel like your school could progress further as a conference with.

I personally like:
SMU
Rice
Houston
UNT
USM
Memphis
Tulane
UTEP
UTSA
Tulsa

Keep in mind this is not a beauty pageant or reason for a pissing contest, just boredom taking over and curiousity about conference mates. CUSA fans only please.

Football only?

W&M: Harvard, Columbia, UPenn, Columbia, Brown, Princeton, Dartmouth, Cornell

Charlotte: Alabama, LSU, Florida State, Oregon, Ohio State, Florida, Georgia, Texas, USC, Michigan

I realize travel could be a bit difficult for the 49ers, but I think we could make it work.

Football only and NO Power 5 conference schools. If you did that it would be Charlotte plus ACC or Tech plus Big12.

I am certain that all of the schools mentioned would be offended that you think they are "acedemic" peers...

I don't want to be in a conference with non-P5 schools.

This is about football. You sure know how to mess up a good thread. How about instead of posting about about typo you contribute to the conversation or is the even possible???

Arkansas St.
North Texas
Southern Miss
Rice

I was just kidding, man.

I'm pretty happy with Charlotte's football position, right now. Wouldn't mind adding Cincy and Memphis back, just for old rivalry sake.

Hmph. Right now our football peers are Alcorn State and whoever played in the various Junior College bowls.

Add MTSU and WKU as a bridge and to shore up basketball and I'd like that very much.

I'll play, but as has been said, I'm pretty happy with things as they stand. Here's who I see as Marshall's peers in football, with only a passing nod to geography,

Northern Illinois
Ohio
Toledo
East Carolina
Middle Tennessee
Western Kentucky
Southern Mississippi
Memphis
Rice
LaTech
Houston

I have absolutely no complaints. This is just an exercise to see who folks envision as their football peers.
