RE: Potential Narduzzi Staff
That would be amazing if both MSU defensive guys come but I only expect one of them.

Tredwell was th OC for Dantonio at MSU before being the hc at Miami (OH) where he didnt do well. Although, I dont know why.

Anyway, read that Narduzzi's getting 2.5 and then 2.5 for the staff but i also saw over 3.5 for the staff. I guess we'll have to wait and see. We might be able to tell the money based on the quality of the staff....

Tim Beck (former OC, Nebraska) could also be a candidate.

RE: Potential Narduzzi Staff
Those numbers for the staff would seem to be SERIOUS upgrades for Pitt. From what I understand, that's big time football.

From all of these coaching changes, I've realized that the money for the staff is really where it's at. The head coach is obviously important, but if they can't hire a top quality staff they are handcuffed. I hope that the powers that be at Pitt understand that now.

I can't complain about any of the hires so far. They all look to be legitimate coaches.

I think Narduzzi is doing a lot of due diligence with his hires and taking his time. That's the right way to go.

Yeah, Narduzzi said in one of his interviews that he wants guys to stay for a while and that if he lets someone go after one year then thats on him and he made a mistake. Sounds good to me but Lets see.

He pretty much has to have the staff in place by the middle of next wwek as a big recruiting weekend the the 16th....iirc

PN just hired Jim Chaney from Ark to be OC. Lot's of experience. Will also coach QB's. So...spread, pro set or hybrid? Probably will see a hybrid.

Yea, I expect a multiple offense based on the personal we have that given year.

RE: Potential Narduzzi Staff
Chaney is a spread philosophy coach from Joe Tiller's coaching tree.

He also has NFL experience but since he's been back in college the offenses he's run have still been about what he was doing at Purdue.

I'm ok with this as long as he adapts of use the players we have on the roster. Nothing is worse than trying to plug square pegs in round holes.
