Congratulations, Thundering Herd...Way to get Conference USA's bowl representation off to a great start. I am curious about something, why was Rakeem Cato sporting the number 31 (13 backwards) jersey this time? Was his regular jersey lost/stolen?

That number was passed around every game to honor Evan McKelvey who was injured in October.

Wonderful gesture...Conference USA's off to a pretty good start in bowl season so far...#TheHerd

Why should ESPN care about Conf USA? What is in it for them? They have been good to the AAC because of our contract with them,if we had no contract with ESPN, they would treat us like they do Conf USA. The same goes for the Sun Belt,Mac and to some extent the MWC.Would not surprise me at all if ESPN would like for Conf USA to fold,or merge with the Belt. This is all about business.Conf USA does not fit into ESPN business narrative,so ,except for the ConfUSA championship game that they own, they dont care.

Conf USa needs for their next contract to be with ESPN. Imo,Bano needs to offer to do anythjng ESPN wants, including week night and ESPN 3. The only network for college fpotball that brings exposure and a chance to survive is ESPN. They might be the devil, but its a devil this conference desperately needs.

It's a business for us too. What price does ESPN want to pay, how many games are on which networks, and how many are at times that don't destroy our fan attendance? I don't like the 11 AM CT starts, but it's better for our fans than #MACTION

No one mentioned ESPN in this thread. You make a wrong turn somewhere? And, FWIW, they don't have to care about us, but if they value any journalistic integrity whatsoever, then they need to acknowledge that we exist if they're going to continue to purport themselves as the worldwide leader of sports.
