Find someone to throw to him, and you'll be in good shape.

You or I could be chucking the ball and with him in there we'd be in good shape.

This is really good news.

Good deal, I hate players losing eligibility due to injury. They should always err on the side of the player.

Especially if you never redshirted, it should be a no brainier

Conference office is responsible for medical hardships, not the NCAA

Don't think that is correct, then byu and notre Dame could either grant any medical hardship they want or they wouldn't have them at all... I doubt either is true. What conference office would deny one?

I am pretty sure the NCAA (not C-USA) granted Doughty his hardship waiver. I don't think conference comes into play.

Congrats to him.

Orakpo was told that his chances of getting a medical waiver was .01% so he's declaring.

NCAA handles sixth year requests, conferences fifth years. Not sure what happens with the independent teams, sure they go through the NCAA

NCAA handles ALL eligibility issues. Conference office has nothing to do with it. And your argument is shot because Robinson was granted a fifth year, not a sixth. He never redshirted.

I just don't see how the conference offices could be in charge, too biased and close to each situation and could have things gain by granting or not granting hardships. The NCAA is biased enough.

You're picking a fight just to pick one. Conference office does handle fifth-year hardships, which is what Robinson got. Glad he received another chance to play!

RE: Cajuns Biggest Recruit!!!!!!
I guess technically for 5th year medical, there really isn't anything to handle. You either meet it or you don't. I guess 6th year is where other variables come in. I would imagine if a guy was declined for a 5th year he could appeal it through the NCAA if he felt he met the requirements but was denied anyway. I guess independents just deal with the NCAA on everything

You have to supply certain medical information, but for the most part they are cut and dry cases.
