Not a bad article. It's incredible to see where we are now against where we were three years ago.

I'll never forget the feeling I had watching my team get throttled in Jonesboro. And I hope I never have to experience that again. We were a really, REALLY bad team.

Good read. Didn't a bigger publication buy bleacher report? It's higher quality than it used to be.

Edit: Mr. Googles says they were bought by Time Warner in 2012.

That Tommy West speech really applied and applies today...especially with our fickle fanbase.

West was upset about the sarcasm...especially from the paper (nasal), and also from message board denizens.

West stated instead of running it and us down, ask what you can do to help this program.

West stated this was the most negative based he had ever seen. He commented about how negative people here got whenever things did not go exactly as planned.

Apply those to today's sarcastic, negative, not asking or doing what one can do to help and denigrating when nothings do not go as planned...to our current hyperbolic reaction to a basketball program that has been pretty good the last several years but struggled early this season...and my goodness.

West...forgot how strong that speech was.

Agreed. His demeanor for winning and organizing and honesty for the program was displayed his first day he spoke to us. I second this request come join the HH it is well worth the "honest" insight into the coaches and the players. You get to meet them and have conversations with them and you get to feed the players in your home and get to know them better. Join now and enjoy the success with us. This is just the beginning. Back in subject: this was a well written article, well organized in chronology and chock full of information on how Coach Fuentes' blueprint was built.

I blame the negativism in the media on G Caulkins! He has never helped the situation then and now IMO.

West was frankly a jerk as is any coach who blames the fan base. Note Coach Fuentes never did that.

I bet it gripes his ass when people keep screwing up his name, though.

Maybe Tommy W. can take the blue print that he did not know about and use it the next time he's a head coach!

Incredible how quickly one can walk on water for some of our fanbase.

Wonder if this one remembers that it was West's third season when the team went 9-4 with some much bigger wins that season...mispiiiii and Louisville.

West was right on with his speech...about the oozing sarcasm and negativity. Recognizing it was fine. One thing that helped Fuente was more was indeed out into it. Nice results this last season. It is possible next season we compete for the New Year's bowl spot or struggle to go 6-6. Enjoy the past season..,control your crush.
